:D before the second world war my father John Francis Borgia Dunford ,Joined the Royal Navy as a Boy .
Studded at the Royal Naval College ,Studded Languages Learnt Several.Biology, Bio Chemistry and others
now just before the First World War began he was on a Ship the Captain, was Capt Scott who liked to talk to him about his Studies ,
Now this is the Main Point .When the First World War broke out my Father was Ordered (not sure if it was Capt Scott)to Join the Liverpool City Police, As a Translator would be Needed,Now i have a Photo of him .Taken by the Liverpool City Police with Several other Police Men dated 1914,I have his Red Book given to him.by the Sargent on Duty ,His Policeman Number was H279.Inside of this Book he had written how much Overtime he had done.Notes on what Happened on duty .Also it has Dr Edwards York House Walton Park Road I don.t know what this means,
If you want i could send you the Photo of him with 19 More Officers in his Group.Which might be good for your History Pages.By the end of 1914 He was taken back into the Royal Navy ,in 1918 he got Badly Wounded and was in the Royal Naval Hospital Gillingham for some time .when they said they had to Discharge Him on Medical Grounds. Then in 1921 joined the United Kingdom Merchant Navy .When the Second World War was on he was in the North Atlantic,He retired from them in 1941.The United Kingdom Merchant Navy said in a Note to us he was a very Brave Man .And how many service Men went to War in Two World Wars.We Salute Him, Last Year i got in touch with the Liverpool City Police who said they know nothing about this. And said go to the Liverpool Police which i did .all they could say is in War Time Every Body help is Needed .But they could not say any more. All i need is some thing from the Liverpool City Police for his Memory and his Family Tree.
he was a very brave liverpool born man ,who always done his duty .please help and lets remember him
