My Grandfather was William James Dickinson. He originally came from Shrewsbury. Joined the Royal Horse Artillery during WW1 and served in France. Was with the Liverpool Police after WW1 and served until probably 1950s or maybe early 1960s.

In 1924 and 1926 I believe he had accommodation at the Athol Street police station and lived there with his wife Ivy Elizabeth Dickinson and their young children William Bruce Dickinson born 1924, and Ivy Carlyl Dickinson born 1926. They later moved to Curtis Road. After he retired as a Sergeant, they went to live in Manor Drive, Crosby.

Can anyone help with more info or images ?
