Welcome to Lunar Shrine. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Lunar Shrine is a rapidly growing community with friendly Mods and Admins. We specialize in new, never before found Tiers, such as SS (Second State). We also bring back forgotten tiers, like BL, even though some people say BL isn't a tier, here, it is.

We have our own unique Pokemon Analysis, called Pokemon Speculation. Our members are very creative, one even created a Pachirisu that kills Garchomp! We have a Point System! The Point System is used to buy stuff from other members, such as Signatures, PokeSav'd pokemon, legit pokemon, and shineys!

Umbreon, one of the BL tiers greatest walls. It is also a great OU wall if used properly

Type: Dark

Abilities: Synchronise

Synchronise: Passes on status effects

[MATTS CUSTOM MEAN LOOK SET]

Umbreon @ leftovers

Nature: Bold [-atk +def]

Ability: Synchronise

Ev Spread: 252HP/148 def/112 sp def

~Yawn
~mean look
~screech
~Baton pass

Don't you guys just love my sets? This one is a hard one to use, but can work really well. The EV spread + nature allows you to take hits from both attacks and Sp attacks. The idea is to use this as your lead and yawn straight away. your opponent will then choose to switch or stay in. Often they will switch after they set up stealth rocks, like most leads do so you may want to try yawning again once you predict the switch. that way, they have to switch out again to avoid sleep. Or you can mean look them on the switch, then yawn. Often, they think you are going to switch, so they will try to set up. Umbreon is bulky, so dont let damage worry you too much. when your opponent attacks after they set up, use screech. they then go to sleep and you can either screech again, or baton pass to a counter.

Often they will bring out an umbreon counter after switching their lead, so once that counter goes, umbreon is generally safe for the rest of the game. It also makes a great status absorber due to synchronise.

Lead apes are common due to their ability to knock out a sash so the EV spread is mainly used to take hits from lead apes.

[MIX SUPPORT WALL]

Umbreon @ leftovers

Nature: Careful [-sp atk +sp def]

Ability: Synchronise

Ev Spread: 252HP/252sp def/6atk

~Curse
~Baton pass
~Wish
~Payback

This set runs the same moves as Disfunctions Umbreon, so he gets credit for the moves. I wasn't sure of the EV spread used so I made one up.

Curse is used to boost your attack and defence (obviously) and slow you down so payback gets a power boost. If a counter happens to come in, you are able to baton pass your curse boosts to another pokemon. wish is mainly a filler, but is a great recovery move for umbreon since he can take hits like a beast. Wish also provides good team support along with curse. This umbreon is also a great status absorber. If anyone wants to yawn it, it doesnt have to switch. Instead, it can go to sleep and put your opponent to sleep with synchronise.

This set also works a charm in trick room teams. Curse will up 3 stats instead of 2

[NUISANCE]

Umbreon @ chople berry/leftovers

Careful [-atk +sp def]

Ability: Synchronise

EV spread: 252HP/162sp def/96def

~Toxic
~confuse ray/yawn
~wish
~Protect

Taunters screw this set over so watch how you use it. This set works great if rocks and spikes are up. In your first slot, toxic is a must. Umbreon is a great toxic staller due to his great bulkiness. your second move is a move that forces switching. Pick either confuse ray or yawn. Using these moves allows spikes and stealth rock to be used to their full potential and prevents opponents setting up on you.

The wish and protect combo is listed for self healing and wish offers support for your teammates. Protect also helps with the toxic stalling too.

The chople berry + EVs allow you to easily survive a CB heracross close combat or megahorn just in case you happen to use toxic on it when it comes in on you. Use protect to scout its move, then switch to an appropriate counter.

[MATTS CUSTOM SNATCH PASSER]

Umbreon @ leftovers

Careful [-sp atk +sp def]

Ability: Synchronise

EV spread: 252HP/200sp def/58def

~Snatch
~Baton pass
~wish
~Protect

A gimmick set I invented. It is very hard to use due to taunters, but the taunter can be taunted with snatch. If you can predict a taunt coming your way, use snatch to steal the taunt and taunt the taunter. You are then free to offer wish support or pass any power up moves you snatched from a foe to another of your pokemon

Other options: Psych up can also be used in place of snatch if its status boosts you want, but it is very risky. By doing this, you are only letting your opponent sweep your team easier. you need great prediction to use psych up umbreons

Opinion: Umbreon is a fantastic supporter to use in any BL team and is a great poke to use in OU. It makes one great wall on both the physical and special side and is an even greater staller.

You can also run taunt on some sets, but you need speed EV to hit some pokes before they set up. 178 speed EVs in a neutral nature will let you taunt a skarm before it sets up. Umbreon isn't a great taunter so this isn't recommended.

Ev Spread recommendations: Always pump 252 EVs into HP. It is a wall on both sides. Mainly, you want to invest in sp def EVs if you run curse because you can boost your defence, but not your sp defence.

Counters: Heracross can completely obliterate any umbreon if it runs Choice band and gets toxiced by a stall umbreon. Other pokes like the resttalkers can counter due to their immunities to yawn and toxic.

Steel types wall the payback umbreons and the toxic stallers with their resistance to dark moves and their immunity to toxic
