Chimecho was a waste of game freaks time to be perfectly honest. But the good battlers out there have found some good uses for this skittybell in battle.

Type: Psychic

Abilities: Levitate

Levitate: ground moves don't affect the poke

[MATTS CUSTOM DOUBLE STATUS SCREENER]

Chimecho @ light clay/leftovers

Nature: Bold [-atk + def]

Ev Spread: 252HP/168def/90sp def

~light screen/recover/wish
~reflect/recover/wish
~thunder wave
~yawn

WATCH OUT FOR TAUNT!! chimechos pathetic speed makes it an easy target for taunters. However, this set does have its uses against teams that don't run a taunter. This is another gimmick set I invented. Its EVs give it decent defences on both sides. For your first two moves, pick your choice of screen and have recover in the second slot. You can have both screens if you wish, but you want to keep chimecho alive, since it can be used as a wall.

In place of recover, you could also run wish for extra supportive options.Wish isn't too hard to use with this set since you can use yawn to stop other pokes from setting up against chimecho. that way, if the poke that got hit by yawn decided to try and KO chimecho, they put themselves to sleep. Yawn is chosen over hypnosis so you are keeping your opponent switching while you set up easily and T wave the incoming pokes. Or, while your opponent is switching, you can put up your screen and start crippling with yawn and T wave.

[MATTS CUSTOM CM SCREENER]

Chimecho @ leftovers

Nature: bold [-atk +def]

EV spread: 252HP/168def/90sp def

~Calm mind
~reflect
~HP fighting
~shadow ball

This set isn't exactly reliable, but it can work. the fight/ghost coverage option is used here as no type resists its coverage (other than sableye and spiritomb). Reflect + a couple of calm minds in combo make chimecho fairly hard to kill once set up. Off a few calm mind boosts, chimecho has decent sp attack power. Off 0 EV, it has a reasonable 226. off 2 CM boosts, make that 452.

Reflect is chosen over light screen because you are able to boost your sp def with calm mind.

[SUPPORTER]

Chimecho @ Leftovers

Nature: Calm [-atk +sp def]

EV spread: 252 HP/158 Def//100 SpD

~Hypnosis
~reflect/psychic
~Heal bell
~recover/wish/healing wish

A remix of the smogon set. It is weak to taunters once again. Hypnosis puts the foe to sleep, giving you a chance to use heal bell for status removal, reflect to put up a screen, or the recovery move you selected from the last slot. Or if you chose psychic over reflect for doing some damage to whatever you can, you can use that. but since chimecho's sp attack is puny, its best to use recover.

The last slot is probably the hardest one to choose because you have a ton of options. Recover allows you to keep recovering chimecho easily, wish offers team support, and healing wish fully recovers one of your crippled sweepers, status and all at the cost of chimechos life.

[CM sweeper]

Chimecho @ Leftovers

Nature: Modest [-atk + sp atk]

EV spread: 252HP/160def/80sp def/18sp atk

~Calm mind
~T wave/hypnosis/Psychic
~HP fighting
~Shadow ball

A bulkier version of the smogon set. the second slot is where the deciding begins. you can either pick one of the crippling moves, T wave or hypnosis, whichever you prefer. T wave will slow down an incoming poke, allowing you to CM before they attack you. chances are, parahax will affect them so you can get another CM while they attack or switch out.

Or if you'd rather another attack, you may choose psychic. Choosing psychic means you are going to have to rely on chimechos defences and power a lot. or you are going to have to accept the fact that if you switch, your opponent can freely set up on their free turn. the fight/ghost coverage covers the last two moves and they alone can do a lot of damage to the opposition once chimecho has been set up.

[TOXIC STALL]

Chimecho @ leftovers

Nature: Modest [-atk + sp atk]

EV spread: 252hp/100sp atk/100def/58sp def

~toxic
~wish/recover
~protect
~Psychic

A staller with an odd EV spread. the EV spread gives it reasonable defences and reasonable power for its STAB move psychic. The idea is to hit an incoming poke with psychic, then use wish. The toxiced poke will either withdraw, or try to attack you. Either way if you can, you should switch to an injured poke that can counter the attacking poke and re gain your HP. If you are unable to switch to anything, then let the stalling begin. let the poke attack you after you use wish if you are able to survive. use psychic instead of protect so you can do some extra damage and speed up the stalling phaze. Wish gets you your lost health anyway. you can then protect to get back additional health with your leftovers.

[SPECS]

Chimecho @ choice specs

Nature: Modest [-atk + sp atk]

EV spread: 40 HP/252 Sp atk/216 Speed

~Psychic
~charge beam/energy ball
~shadow ball
~HP fighting

A smogon set that deserves a mention. This is a set anyone could have come up with if they were bored shitless. Chimecho has over 450 sp attack with the specs, allowing his attacks to do some decent damage. He doesnt hit as hard as the common specs pokes, but his coverage is pretty decent. Psychic can do a lot of damage to neutral damage pokes with 135 base power off 450+ sp attack. your second move is basically a filler. choose either charge beam to kill off the water and flying types, or energy ball if you hate water, rock and ground types.

Your last two moves are once again, the awesome fight/ghost coverage.

Other options: You can run a dual screener set if you wish, but there is only one problem. It is very hard to set up. Personally, if you want a screener, just pick the screen you need most. But...if you must have both, then use this moveset on the CM screener

light screen
reflect
calm mind
Psychic

As you all know, this set is walled by Psychic, steel and dark types, which is why I listed my set the way I did.

you can also run a trick room set, just make sure the rest of your team benefits from it or this option is pointless.

Opinion: Chimecho isn't a very good poke to use due to the fact that it is quite frail for a supporter. you must have good skills to use one in a battle. It has great supportive options in its moves list, including T wave, heal bell, toxic, wish, healing wish, the dual screens and a few others. Really, it's all in how you use it.

EV spread recommendations: Other than the specs set, it is best to focus on chimechos defences, as it is mainly used to support your team. First off, 252hp IS A MUST. you then adjust your defences accordingly.

Counters: Many of the dark type pokes counter the support sets that chimecho runs since they are immune to its stab move psychic.

Hypno also counters chimecho well thanks to insomnia, but because its power is rather low, the countering can draw out into a stall contest.

This was the best I could do. Rate away!!

Jesus Christ! Man that was good. How did you come up with all those sets for a pokemon which is thought to be a waste? I'm actually considering having one on my team.

I came up with all but one set, and that was the specs set.

I don't know how I came up with so many. I was just piecing moves together and thinking about how they could help out a team. and Chimecho has so many supportive options to choose from

Thanks for the compliments :) . Its good to know that hard work is appreciated. GL using one in your team. Its easier said than done, lol

EDIT: geez, I didn't think I made up 5 sets :o lol
