Paragraph 1: Please confirm 12 hour "Pick Window"

Paragraph 3: Please confirm that all veterans (7+ years of experience) are eligible for reduction of Contract duration (to be specified at time of selection)
Please confirm that each team is allowed to reduce 2 veteran's salaries by 25% (to be specified at time of selection), but cannot combine with shortening the contract duration.

Paragraph 5: Please confirm that all players with 4-6 years of experience are only eligible for a single year contract (expiration after 2018) at their average salary per Spotrac. Upon expiration of deal they will enter the next arb year (those currently with 4 or 5 years of experience) or Restricted Free Agency (those with 6 years of experience).

Paragraph 7: Please confirm that all players with 1-3 years of experience are given $0.4m /year salary for those years until they exceed 4 years of experience at which time they enter arb. years (5-7).

Paragraph 11: Please confirm that ALL players to be placed immediately on the 50-man Roster MUST BE IDENTIFIED AT THE TIME OF SELECTION. Players may be be moved off and on the 50-man post-Draft via the various ways (drops, options, waivers, etc.) noted in the League Rules.

Additional Questions: Please confirm that all players are eligible to be placed in the minor league system regardless of current experience. If this is not the intent, please provide criteria which players must meet.
Please confirm that all players will be given 3 options upon their selection. If this is not the intent, please provide criteria of who will and will not receive options upon selection, and how many.
Please confirm that all players having had real-life MLB contracts in the past are eligible for selection. Please note how players (i.e. international) who do not yet have a contract are to be treated.

So I'm not great at explaining things but the 4-6 year guys are in the arbitration process so that's the difference... This year they will be paid whatever the avg on Spotrac is or whatever their Arbitration number is and then next year they will be offered arbitration by you... or whoever has them after the year.

Just to clarify a little more... If you draft a guy who's in his 2nd year, you pay him .4 Mil until he hits year 4. Then he will either have a 3 Mil team option or he will hit the arbitration process. Bottom line is years 4-6 are arbitration years. Hartford will confirm or tell me if I'm wrong. Hahahahaha

Here are the some good examples (I'm just taking the highest ranked Pitcher for each category):

Veteran (7+ Years of experience):
Chris Sale:
Real Life Deal: $32,500,000/5 years (2017), 2018 Club Option @ 12'500'000, 2019 Club Option @ 15'000'000
Deal When looking at just Avg Salary and FA Year: $6'500'000 (2019)
Actual Deal for our League: Chris Sale, BOS SP 6.5 mil (2019) [Dynasty Contract]

Arbitration Elig. (4-6 years of experience):
Corey Kluber:
Real Life Deal: $38,500,000/5 years (2019), 2020 Club Option @ 15'500'000, 2021 Club Option @ 16'000'000
Deal When looking at just Avg Salary and FA Year: $7'700'000 (2021)
Actual Deal for our League: Corey Kluber, CLE SP 7.7 mil (2018) (3 options remaining) [7th Year - ARB 1 of 1] <-- These "options" are "up/down" options, not contractual "Club Options"

Pre-Arb. (0-3 years of experience):
Luis Severino:
Real Life Deal: $550'975 (2018) <-- He is still under team control deal and would go into first ARB year after 2018 season
Deal When looking at just Avg Salary and FA Year: $550'975 (2021) <-- Because he is not FA until 2022 this appears to be a long deal. However...
Actual Deal for our League: Luis Severino, NYY SP 0.4 mil (2018) (3 options remaining) <-- These "options" are "up/down" options, not contractual "Club Options"; ... the deal is cheaper, but result is closer to RL (ARB after this season) in this scenario.

I thought these three gave pretty good examples. Hartford, correct any of this if wrong, but this follows what I read in Rules and your clarifications in the Q&A. I hope all find it helpful.

I believe the only difference Summerville's post is that Severino would have ARB years. I was always unsure of that but I had joined with an already formed team when I started.

Also, options are only taken when dropping down from major to minor league. You can move up all you want and I believe all minor league is "free movement," but that might only be before X date.

Please clarify on these

All looks right Summerville. Yes new haven is right that once the contract expires severino would get 3 more years of team control (ARB years)

I didn't check sale and klubers number so I'm not positive on their listed salary. Will confirm another time.

Yeah... I don’t think we post the ARB years in the contract format for pre-ARB guys. It’s understood or implied... but a VERY GOOD point to make here. Thanks.

That is correct Summerville, implied/known.

And to confirm, the posted deals for Sale and Kluber are 100% accurate
