Morning guys. I feel like there are some questions that need answers? Brian, yes you can add a guy to your 50 man at any time as long as you have the room to do it, or remove another player from it to do so by sending that player through an irrevocable waiver. That's the only irrevocable waiver we have, other waivers are revocable. There's no compensation per se for having a non 50 man player claimed, but after a claim is made, negotiation for a trade can take place and avoid the waiver claim parameters. For instance, if I claim a player from Paducah, I notify him of the claim. We can then work out a deal where I would no longer necessarily have to put the guy on my Mlb roster if that isn't a parameter of the trade. Or Paducah can add him to his own 50 man and it's over or he can let him go to me for nothing and I have to add to my 25 man active roster for at least 28 days. The reason I have it at no cost is due to the ability of the team being claimed from to adequately "defend" Themselves from poaching due to the trade allowance or the protection by adding to 50 man |

Rosenthal is ARB 2. Since he has no deal yes, he is free for now. When he signs you pick up 1 year of the deal. If he doesn't sign before next off-season he's ARB 3 of 3 and therefore would have to be passed by the league if you'd still want to retain him |

A player such as Juan Pablo Martinez, who has just been declared a free agent in the middle of our draft will not be eligible to be drafted. He will be a part of the first year player draft after this season |

*** DRAFT*** For review by league note: I have included a proposal for the "cut-off" dates for the rules, but were arbitrarily done. Dates should be fixed, but other dates/events may make more sense than those in my proposal. Certainly a point to discuss/consider. Players not having or having had a contract with an MLB organization at the beginning of the calendar year are not eligible for Free Agency during the season. The following rules apply to all players foreign and domestic, and those players drafted, but unsigned (RL). All such players will remain ineligible for acquisition until the First Year Player Draft at/near the end of the season. At that time, those players who were real-life Free Agents on January 1st of the calendar year AND subsequently have signed a real-life contract with an MLB organization, will be eligible to be drafted along with all drafted and signed (RL) College and High School players. Players who have not yet signed prior to start of the First Year Player Draft remain ineligible for acquisition. Players who signed real-life contract with MLB organization between the start of the First Year Player Draft and January 1st of the following year will be eligible for Free Agent signing upon "opening" of the offseason Open Free Agency period. Those players remaining unsigned through January 1st of the following year are ineligible for acquisition until the First Year Player Draft at/near the end of the season. If a player is not explicitly excluded from eligibility does not mean the player is able to be acquired. When ambiguity exists as to the eligibility of a player, GMs should inquire and request rules interpretation prior to directly attempting to acquire the player. Grandfathered Players: Julio Pablo Martinez (cleared by MLB on Feb. 20, 2018 to sign with a RL organization on March 6, 2018) |

I rule that in line with what the league has voted martinez is an invalid pick and will not be grandfathered in. Sean, you have the option to select an additional two players at this time as compensation for the loss of players that have been selected since. |

So everyone is aware, I am fine with roster level reassignment and 50 man "undesignations" before the draft is over. If you need to make any changes to what I have posted in my summaries, be sure to PM me on the zetaboard to update to reflect these changes. After the draft, movements between levels and 50 man will need to be documented on the zetaboard and comply with rules. Thanks!! |

Before draft ends, just let me know if it isn't correct in the draft summary and it can be changed without penalty. After that, the player must be placed on waivers if being removed from 50 man and can be claimed by all other teams |

Hey I did not realize we were telling you Jake who we were moving to and from our 50 man... I have moved a few guys to and from my 50... I think we need to make sure they are correct on our Zeta pages mainly but those can be edited so we need to find a place to put our final 50 man rosters where they can't be easily edited. |

To your point Justin, a post should be made as a reply on your roster post so that you can edit it when changes are made. Your roster monitor will copy the post, in tandem with the 50 man roster monitor, to make sure all changes are properly documented and tracked on zeta |
