Minor League Deals in FA

I would recommend that we place some restrictions on Minor League deals in FA where as they are tied to a minimum salary (that which was the winning bid) regardless of future assignment.

Example 1: Player A is won with a bid of MiLB contract for 400k and Assignment to AAA

Player A can be moved down in minors, but the salary will remain fixed at the 400k.

Example 2: Player B is won with a bid of MiLB contract for 75k and Assignment to AA

Player B can be moved down in minors, but the salary will remain fixed at the 75k. However, if Player B is moved up to AAA his salary must adjust to the minimum required for that level (150k for AAA).

I agree with Tony. I thought this was the rule.

This is the rule... If you win a bid on a player you pay that player whatever the bid was. If you bid 400k and it’s a minor league deal then he gets 400k at AAA.
