Yeah, who would ever like that show Sunrise?

*tugs collar*

The book sounds awesome, though.

So THAT explains why America is choking to death on the largest number of fatarse SUVs in the world. Not.

The real problem with SUVs is the fuel consumption, emissions is secondary

Choking was a metaphor for overwhelmed, not literally. Although they do produce a large amount of pollution.

I recently read an editoral in Motor Trend ("The Big Picture" By Angus Mackenzie) about a rather amusing incident:

(short summary of it below)

The state of California is suing Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Chrysler for causing the pollution that plauges that state. Ironically the state of California originally encouraged four of those six companies to set up factories there. They even gave financial aid and tax relief. Just who is to blame here?

"Only in America", Mackenzie wrote.

I love the brutal irony that is industrial growth. It comes back to bite the new 'eco-friendly' administrations. And for once this isn't really an 'only in America' situation...surprisingly. This shit happens everywhere, but it's particularly typical in America because of dense and built up population margins...gas for everyone!

More likely, he doesn't 'not believe' the theory, but is unwilling to do anything about it. 'I care about this nations economy.' That gets me every time.

Leave the SUVs alone, blame it on the companies that make them run on a non-renewable energy source.

Indeed. As in most cases, it is not necessarily the product with is to be objected against, by the way in which it is manufactured. This is the same for things like big-brand sports shoes. (Not climate change related, but of the same economic idea.)
