For extremely serious crimes where the guilt and circumstances of the crime are clear-cut, then yes, I agree.

In my mind, those extremely serious criminals are repeated serious sex offenders and the heads of major drug operations and organized crime syndicates.

Just to let you know, I had to use Firefox's Spellcheck to spell 'America'... Apparently, I'm stupider than I thought.

But you must take into account the fact that many incarcerated for murder, sex crimes, etc. are innocent or their trial was not up to scratch in parts. It is a difficult question that requires a lot of thought. Ultimately it's about faith in your legal system. When there's serious holes (present in most) you should think carefully about this issue...

I believe that people with no remorse or repeated offenders can be put to the death penalty. But for example in one case inn America, a 19 year old boy gets really drunk and unknowingly sneaks into a persons home and kills a 20 year old lady. He gets sentenced to death and dies 3 years later.

I actually did take this into account, when I said...

If there is any doubt with the verdict of the trial, or any redeeming features in the circumstances of the crime and the criminal, then the death penalty is inappropriate.

One must also ask the question of power, as the death penalty is essentially (after due-course) putting an organisation in charge of determining someones life.

Just putting it out there, as it seems to be the main argument from anti-DP activists. The argument doesn't necessarily hold up, when properly probed.

Yes, I said probed.
