My point exactly. Mars, they are keeping a lot out, but they have answered a lot of questions. If you know where to look, you can already find out the entire (basic) jist of Halo 3. At bungie, they have analysis of these pictures you posted. They answer tons of questions, about a lot of stuff. Check it out. |

I know for a fact my world is doomed. To revise my earlier comment, there was some "Real Life" in that commercial. |

They've said that the video had many graphical super effects turned off. And remember they're still in alpha phase. |

The video was taking forever to Buffer, but I'm going to assume that was Et Tu Brute?. I have that on my iPod. Along with four other Halo 3 videos. Whenever something new comes out, I instantly turn into a Halo Fanatic. I already know the general ending of the Halo series... Plus, you got to see an Elite dual-wielding swords. Whats next? Rocket-launchers? |

SPOILER WARNING The covenant attacked New Mombasa, and New Mombasa only. No other part of Earth was taken over. They had to secure that city, in order to secure the area encompassing the huge artifact seen in the Halo 3 trailer... Called "The Ark", this is yet ANOTHER Forerunner structure. The Covenant know this, as well as what it does... Basically, if any given Halo has been activated, but NOT detonated, this "Ark" can be activated as a last resort, to re-start the chain reaction that spells the end of life. As portrayed in the Trailer, The Ark has been activated. Yet, those of you who read my topic about "The Ghosts of Onyx", will know that a small division of Spartan I's and III's, Dr. Hasley (The Creator of Spartans) and Chief Petty Officer Mendez (The Esteemed Trainer of Spartans) are all locked away in a advanced Slipspace field, designed by the Forerunner, in the core of the 'planet' Onyx. Onyx isn't really a planet, but a giant Forerunner structure, whose sole purpose is its' name: "Shield World". God, these Forerunner idiots name their crap pretty basically. Not only that, but for some reason, they themselves didn't use their own shield to protect themselves from their Halos. How stupid can you get? Anyway, there is simply an Elite squadron of superhumans, and superhuman trainers locked away safely in the outer reaches of space, safe from any Halo detonation. So... End of the world? No. End of humanity? Almost. End of Covenant? Yes. End of Flood? No. End of Halo? Hell no. END SPOILER WARNING That's the BASIC idea, from what I've gathered. Not entirely sure on it all 100%, but it's a good enough plot for me. Then again, I haven't seen the Halo 2 Campaign through to the end, so I don't know where everyone's left off. Comments? |

You can't call it a spoiler if you can figure it out from what you already know, becuase it's just an inference. Of course, not to say that you're wrong, Stormy, it's a good analyzation and hypothesis, but I'm sure just about any halo fan can guess that. If Bungie is going to make the whole story end that way then it is good for conclusion purposes, but since when have they ever done anything predictable? They might have something up their sleeve to make the plot turn in some outrageous way at the last minute, similar to Halo 2. You never know. We could end up anticipating Halo 4 in 2010, with the tagline: FINISH THE FIGHT. AGAIN. |
