I could have sworn we had a topic on this.

In brief, a masterful blend of 1940s fascist spain and wonderful, adult fantasy.

The child-killing beast with the eyes in its hands is the scariest film character ever. It's scarier than the baby in Eraserhead, and that's saying something.

I heard it's also heineously violent, which might be a plus?

Are there many monsters in the film? I know I sound like a geek, but I'm sick of paying good money to see a fantasy with lots of awesome-scary monsters in it, when it turns out that it's just a guy in a costume *Cough* The Village *Cough*

You meant you and your brain (Karl). And GG, the monsters are so realistic you will be frightened in parts. The eye hand guy especially. Greatest film I've seen in a long time.

I'll have to download this. Or get my friend to and watch it at his house.
Guess what! I'm writing a book called Nuclear Winter!

That's a pretty stupid thing to say.
