For Your Consideration

7/10. This film felt a lot more scripted, mainly because of it's complete lack of "interviews", and Christopher Guest wasn't in it enough. Actually, now that I think about it, none of the actors and actresses really had enough screentime, which disappointed me. Catherine O'Hara's performance was groundbreaking throughout. This film should be marked as a change of pace for Christopher Guest's otherwise outstanding work, though that's not without saying that some lines in this film had me rolling in tears. Worth a watch, though it's definately not up to the usual standard of Christopher Guest's films.

Transformers

10/10. Fucking. Incredible.

The Godfather Part 2

Don't ever go against the family

10/10

Yeah GG, I've been slowly getting through Guest's work. Waiting For Guffman was excellent, what's the next best?

My favourite would probably be A Mighty Wind (Nova better give my copy back to me soon, or so help me I will choke a baby), closely followed by Best In Show and Waiting For Guffman.

I didn't choose to watch it, but it was on in my parent's room and it looked cool.

A horribly, horribly unsatisfying ending, but such a delicious plot that I just might have to model an iStory after it!!! (With a better ending, of course.)

The Usual Suspects

Felt thoroughly mediocre until the brilliantly executed twist. Spacey and Byrne were fantastic as well.

8/10

American History X

Pure genius.

10/10

Dogma

After seeing Clerks, this pales in comparison. It had its moments, but wasn't overly impressive.

Damnit, I saw that last night. It was HORRIBLE.

I truly hated that film. Not because it didn't follow the book (which seems to be everyone's excuse) but they made it too dramatic. I wanted to vomit and leave about ten minutes into it, but I went with my family, so I had to stay. UUUggh.

Why was it 'too dramatic'? (avoid giving spoilers please, I'd rather see and rate this for myself)

Meet The Robinsons

Quality CG kids flick. Airplane film obviously.

Men In Black

I last saw this when I was ... eight or nine (I think) so it was nice to still be entertained by this film.

Amen.

And lucky you. It was the over-dramatization of the opening scene that almost made me vomit.
