I really liked the prison escape. Also, Robert Downey's Australian accent is priceless. |

I refuse to watch movies that most of the movie-smart people around me pass off as crap. Therefore, I don't review them. But I could completely plagiarize some reviews for shitty movies, if you like. |

Two Words: Mean Creek This was the most Legendary film I've ever seen. Im being completely literall. Description: Sam Merric is a shy student who just happened to pick up a camera. But oh no, this was no ordinary camera, this one just happened to belong to George Tooney, the towering school bully. George see's this and immediatly begins taking rage on Sam. Sam is left with a bruised cheek. Later his big brother Rocky tells him that someones gotta give, and unfortunately that person is George. Rocky phones Marty and Clyde, two other friends, then they call George, and invite him to "Sam's Birthday Party" on the lake. Even though Sam's birthday isn't for awhile. Well George takes this as them being his friends and he gets Sam his birthday present and they set off for a boat trip. But when one thing leads to another, and the kids are left with an unforgivable tradegy that befalls them. The kids must think of a way to forgive themselves while learning the consequences of revenge. I will now review based on the things that were in the film. Acting: 13/10 This was the most brilliant acting in kids ever. Josh Peck (Drake and Josh) as the foul-mouthed school bully. Rory Culkin (Signs) as shy Sam, Carly Schroeder (Gracie) in her best role ever, Scott Melchowitz, and Trevor Morgan co-star. Basically kudos Josh the whole way through with his complex character George Tooney. All of you know the GOOFY Josh from Drake and Josh, but if you don't want him changing, DO NOT WATCH THIS, well maybe you should. Josh is so powerful as George. Especially lines like, "Your a fucking lying son of a bitch Sammie, and I hope you fuckin go to hell." Make Josh the incredible actor that he is. Everyone is great here. But Josh stands out the most. Editing: 10/10 I don't like to talk about editing in a film, but it is incredible. Soundtrack: 12/10 The soundtrack was so depressing, that I literally left the theatre (Sundance) dazed and not walking in a straight path. I was so...impressed with the composers ability to channel the sadness of the tradgedy that befell everyone. Overall: 100/10 This movie will blow your mind, your body, and your mind again. You will literally appreciate Jacob Aaron Estes (The Director, Producer, Writer) for making a film to teach adults that kids might not be so innocent after all... Pick it up NOW! |

Terminator 2 I love this film. Everything about it just works. The effects still look cool, and John Connor's mulleted friend cracks me up every time. God bless conveniently placed Liquid Nitrogen trucks. 9/10 |

I was "kicking it old school" as the kids say, by watching on VHS at about 2AM. I tell you, after half an hour you don't even notice the shitty picture and sound drop-outs. The scene where Arnie steps out of the elevator in the mental home and Sarah Connor nearly runs into him - everything goes into slow motion you're watching going "shiiiit.. holy shiiit". He may be the good guy but damn, he's intimidating. Also the scene in the corridor at the mall with the shotgun in the box of roses. Brilliant. Did I mention how damn cool Arnie's way of reloading that shotgun whilst on the bike is? |
