The Last Legion

ugh...how this movie annoyed me.

Colin Firth as Aurelias was absolutely the worst choice in playing that role. Throughout the movie he sounds like he inhaled helium when he's speaking. And the movie effects are so downright cheesy, it made me think when this movie should've been made. The only good thing in this movie which I think personally destroyed her movie carrer was that indian girl who I cant pernounce her name right, Aishawai Rai or something like that. Ugh...this movie sucked a load of crap.

DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE. SEE 300 ITS MUCH MUCH BETTER.
(If you havent already.)

Heres my verdict on The Last Legion in rating style.

Acting
1/10 Colin Firth sucked. Ben Kingsely sucked. The little boy sucked too.

Effects
0/10 It can look 70's style at parts. And the others make it look like it was made by some dude in his basement.

Overall
-1/10

THIS MOVIE WAS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME!!!!!! I SHOULD'VE SPENT MORE TIME GETTING MY RANK UP ON BATTLEFRONT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE!

I've seen a few.

No Country For Old Men - 8/10 (The villain is a freakish bastard. Looks suspiciously like David Hicks. Oh and Tommy Lee Jones power!)

Enchanted - 7/10 (One of the better Disney films I've seen.)

I'm Not There - 9/10 (Cate Blanchett is incredible. Richard Gere is boring.)

American Splendor - 7/10 (Mildly interesting... not for the non-fans though)

Sex, Lies & Videotape - 6/10 (James Spader is creepy.)

Cool Hand Luke - 10/10 (An American classic. This is my favourite scene.)

Rules of Attraction - 0/10

(Writer's meeting, pre production of Rules of Attraction.

Suit 1: What've you got for us.

Writer: Well, here's the final edit.

Suit 1: ... That's a pile of shit in an envelope.

Writer: I sealed it and everything.)

I'm really looking forward to Juno. It seems like a teen Knocked Up. Which can only be a good thing.

8/10. Extremely enjoyable film. Loved every minute of it.

Enchanted

9/10. A fun take on a fairy-tale story. Would have been even better if it weren't for the baby crying when the dragon was running about.

Citizen B
Operation Kid Brother (AKA Operation double 007)
(An Italian spinoff of the James Bond series)

I "saw" this movie when I watched the episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 that pokes fun at it. It is simply amazing that Lois Maxwell, Bernard Lee, Adolfo Celi, and Daniela Bianchi, all of whom are major Bond characters, thought that co-starring in an Italian spinoff of the Bond series along with NEIL CONNERY, Sean's brother, would be a pretty neat idea.

Nothing against Neil of course, he actually did alright, but he's no Sean. The other actors actually did a superb job, but the plot was as mind-blowingly epic in terms of mediocrity.

The plot was the epitome of cliche. And I don't think I'll ever understand how the fuck an "Atomic Nucleus" could ever cause every single fucking car, plane, telephone, gun microwave, fork, etc. in the entire world to fail simultaneously. And what was the main villain (what was his name anyway?) planning to do afterward? Dominate the world with his army of fifty leather-clad minions armed with harpoons? I guess this makes more sense in Italy.

MST3K, however, did such an amazing job making fun of this movie. I recommend watching the episode. (Skip to about 6 minutes, the true humorous brilliance of MST3K really only shines during the movie.)

3/10 For the movie

10/10 for the MST3K episode

NOT BAD will smith!
a high budget insight into da end of da world...where a alleged cure for cancer turns out to infect people into flesh eating zombies which only come out at night. Smith's character is immune for unexplained reasons and tries to survive. a good movie...with some delightful insights into da depictions of loneliness
u KNOW someone's been lonely for a long time when they can recite every word from Shrek

Just a few negative points off the top of my head. Spoilers in white:

- Russel Crowe's accent
- Pacing.
- Should've ended when Lucas exits the church and sees cops everywhere. That was a perfect ending.
- Russel Crowe was Jewish. No Jew can accomplish anything like he did.

However, the shootout was fucking intense. See it.
