Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut It is worth all of the 194 minutes of your time that it will take. It's the original heavily enriched with great new sub-plots and characterization. Basically, an originally great movie turned into a masterpiece. 10/10 |

300 I didn't really warm up to this movie. There was nothing to drag you into the story as it was more visual than character based. I guess thats because its based on a comic book. All that surreal scenery and music made me uncomfortable. Maybe i missed the point but i loved sin city so i don't know. 6.5/10 |

Completely different filmmakers, so you can't really compare adaptations unless you compare the graphic novels... JFK Enthralling and powerful. 8/10 |

Of course you can compare the films. They're both big budget movies, based on graphic novels written by Frank Miller, produced in a predominantly 'green screen' manner with visual references to the conventions of the comics that the story came from. I haven't read either of the original graphic novels, but the films are so similar in style, of course they warrant comparing. |

This is not out of the ordinary. And yes, it was prettttty pretttty lazy. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, without wanting to sound cliched or particularly cheesy, is a story of humanity and human interaction. Themes of isolation and claustrophobia aren't necessarily the main basis for the film, but are relatively prominent in the way it's shot and presented. Jack Nicholson's finest hour some might argue, and of the films that I've seen him in, this is (along with The Shining) his most impressive performance to date. And yes, I did consider Anger Management. |

For the record, everyone (but specifically TSC) - This is a thread where one is instructed to rate the last film that they have watched. The "short review" aspect is an optional one. Thank you. |

I considered that, but then this whole thread would be inevitable bullshit, a list of meaningless numerical ratings. Is it really appropriate that the appraisals of movies that we share amongst each other consist entirely of three-to-four digits? Even stringing together a single coherent sentence can help prospective viewers decide whether a film is worth watching or not. Put in the effort, plz. |

Saw 300, it was awesome. 8/10 - not too much of a real storyline, but awesome graphics, effects, and there was SOME storyline. |
Guess what! I'm writing a book called Nuclear Winter!
