While in a sense sensationalist, it's a theory that's more plausible than most and firmly ties in with all blatantly obvious truths before us. That being said, with a democratic majority and the high possibility of a moderate to left President by early 2008, would this spell the end for the neo-conservative manifesto? This is worth a watch, and discusses interesting (if not similar) points about the American condition. |

My response to that is an eloquent "Fuck directly right off." Some of that was so ridiculously left it almost swung full circle back to the far right idiocy that plagues this world. The second video is amazing. That guy is prolific - which is an understatement. |

It's certainly sensationalist, but would you disagree with the overall contention? i.e. the amazingly blatant ties between the administration and it's business agenda/ties? |

I acknowledge the ties but I dismiss the ridiculous A Current Affair-esque approach. |

In terms of production, or content? |

Production: The wham bang visuals and also the smarmy "I know what underwear you like to wear" voiceoever. Content: The linking of certain facts to form an shaky conspiracy theory-like conclusion. |

Production was in no way similar to ACA, and successfully draws attention. Content wise, I thought that their website would shed some light on Mcnamara's 'evidence' or at least informational backing...Sadly not. It's designed with the sharp ambition to draw attention and instill questions in the viewer, without delving into deeper (and unfortunately lacking) evidence or discussion. It's basically 'buzzing' the contention of oh-so-many leftist commentators into 2 and a half very interesting minutes. If you were watching that as someone who isn't necessarily 'switched on' politically, wouldn't this kindle your curiosity? For example, Stormy. With all due respect Stormy, you have stated in the past (or at least implied) that you're not highly interesting in politics right? But this drew your net-surfing gaze? Even if this was based on something I disagreed whole-heartedly about, I'd still respect the way in which it's delivered. |
