What plane trip?

Now you have my model. Return it.

No joke. I've hear word of the next-gen iPod and it's not that far out. Return it and use the money for the next-gen. It'll be around the same cost + touch controls + possible Wi-Fi + breaking the 100GB cap!

Seriously. I know it's hard to give it up, but wait a couple more months. Apple will no doubt have it out well before the Christmas holidays. With any luck, it won't look to shitty and you'll have the latest and greatest: a good three steps ahead of everyone else.

It was so cheap I considered it worth the purchase. Also, Australia gets everything late and fucking overpriced. I'm satisfied with my new iPod even if they bring the new one out tomorrow. I also want sources for your speculation as well. If it's anything more than just that; speculation.

that's what im asking.

why?

a lot of people want it... they wanna be able to buy songs and share them and crap... a stupid waste in my opinion... it'd up the price and lower the battery life... its a stupid idea.

and the sources are everywhere, mars... but youre right... most of it is speculation.

The major shitty part of the iPod is the lithium ion battery. They use it because it can be stretched thinner (physically) than other batteries and therefore the machine looks slimmer and sexier. The down-fucking-side is that the end user can't replace the battery themselves.

Tis one of the things that put me off iPod in general.

Same, and I don't listen to enough music to top even a 3 GB limit.

But I like being able to recharge the battery like such.

It's pretty long, too... So I don't have to worry about charging it often.

Same problem with the iPhone, too. $80 to replace the battery, Apple says.

By the time you need to replace the battery, there will be a new and cooler one with your eye on it. Seriously, these things last years, you don't need them to last decades.

Mine usually lasts about 3 hours tops before I have to recharge. Not the 16 hours promised, certainly.

Damn marketing. Oh yeah, I know you can really keep it at 16 hours if you treat it real special, but who really goes through with that? Not many, that's for sure.

Really? I've heard tests over at Engadget preformed much, much BETTER than what Apple says the iPhone battery is... Almost 36 hours of audio! (That's WITH Wi-Fi on, so it's looking for a signal the whole time!)
