(or skip through the video to the important bits). For the hopelessly time-constrained, Brett Darrow, a 19 year old St. Louis resident, was pulled over and harassed by police at a sobriety checkpoint. http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/19/1988.asp After his release of his previous video to the free media, some police are apparently stalking him, waiting for him to make a wrong move. Personally, I'm outraged at the whole deal. As a teenage driver myself, this makes me worry greatly about what the legality of an officer's actions will be should I ever get pulled over. I guess I'd better keep a copy of my constitutional rights in my car, and at least a tape recorder. I've heard of police oppression but this is getting ridiculous. |
