I thought you had Xbox live, does that use the same connection as your laptop? |

Stormbreaker's parents thought that getting shitellite (satellite) internet instead of T1 (which, by the way, their house is wired for T1 anyway) would be a pretty neat idea. Unfortunately. XBL is basically useless for him for anything other than downloading content. Over the course of several night hours that is. It's a very backwards feeling, knowing I have a faster internet connection than the most tech-oriented person I know.

It's not that bad... Downloading. On one device at a time. Then it's only half as slow as DSL. But the thing is... we have 5-7 devices at any time... I download content for my Xbox overnight so that I can use my connection during the day. Everything shares the same internet, like lumpunzik said. So I might be able to play a game if everything else is off in my house and you guys don't mind me appearing out of thin air.

Well you can't play with us anyways because Valve decided not to let consoles connect to PC's because PC's would own you guys so bad. I just think you should get it to share the love, but if your connections sucks... |

Wait a minute! How is a Mouse and Keyboard better than a SixAxis Controller with great functionality? |

I agree I like it better on console... Cause I can't play it on my PC without buying tons of additional hardware and crap. More RAM, new sound and video cards, etc. |

The only advantage consoles have over PC's is the user interface. With a console, you get only some of what the PC can do, but you can just pop the disc in and play. For more dedicated players, there is the PC. |

Elaboration: With a controller, there is a limit to how fast you can turn. Even if you set your sensitivity to the maximum level, there is a limit. With a mouse, you can very nearly instantaneously move your crosshairs with great precision. The only limit is your hand speed. |

I know. You just got taught something new that I was aware of, but of which you had only a vague understanding, so I informed you! What now? |
