It was awesome. Their first tour doing The Wall in its entirety. I tried to get pictures but there was a stage light that * Denotes the song was a little different or isn't in the album. The Wall *In The Flesh? ---The opening with the Accordion was extended so you had no fucking idea when to expect the guitar and drums to chime in, which was also much louder than expected. The Thin Ice Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 1 The Happiest Days of our Lives *Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 ---The guitar solo was followed by a short drum solo, a keyboard solo, another drum solo, and another guitar solo before finally fading out. *Mother ---Guitar solo extended. Also, the entire audience booed when they sang the line: "Mother, should I trust the government?" Goodbye Blue Sky *Empty Spaces ---Different lyrics to tie into next song *What Shall We Do Now? ---This song is only played in the live version of The Wall. Young Lust One of My Turns Don't Leave Me Now Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 3 *The Last Few Bricks ---Instrumental played as The Wall they build is completed. They didn't actually build a wall but had the animation of one being built on the screen behind them. Goodbye Cruel World ---Intermission--- Hey You Is There Anybody Out There? Nobody Home Vera *Bring the Boys Back Home ---Lyrics repeated, making the song 2x longer. *Comfortably Numb ---The end solo was about 3x longer than normal, and that much more awesome. It was at this point that the lights and lasers all turned the theater into a state execution chamber for epileptics. The Show Must Go On In The Flesh *Run Like Hell ---The opening and ending of the song was extended. At one point during the opening they paused for about a minute, I think due to technical difficulties. The audience still cheered. It was pretty much exactly the same as this, only with the infamous "Are there any paranoids in the audience tonight?" question. Waiting for the Worms Stop The Trial *Outside the Wall ---Played by a guitar along with the accordion. Encore Time The Great Gig in the Sky Wish You Were Here One Slip One of these Days Brain Damage Eclipse All in all, an incredible show. The audience went crazy. At least half of them used lighters at some point during the show, and this was indoors. The Wall isn't my favorite album, but in concert it's a completely different experience. I'm lost for words now. It made the $25 shirt I bought worth it. Edit: Here are pictures of the show that some guy took. In DSCF1176.JPG I'm somewhere on the upper left. Yeah, the Fox theater is a very, VERY nice venue. Our school had Prom there a couple years back. I wish they were still having it there, because then I'd actually be willing to pay $200+ for tickets, transportation, tuxedo, etc. But no, it's at a goddamn hotel again, for chrissake. http://www.notaussiefloyd.com/albums/aussies/stlouis200801/slides/DSCF1356.JPG ^I forgot to mention, they (appropriately) showed a bunch of footage from this year's election during "Brain Damage". |

Yeah, the Fox is amazing. I've preformed in there twice, and went to prom there two years ago... I wanted to see Death Cab for Cutie preform there a couple weeks ago, but I missed it... I can't imagine watching a real band play at the fox, it's gotta be awesome. |
