No way. There good but not that good. That 46 Bears D was one of a kind. They are definetly the best D in this league. |
![]() Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him. Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on. In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun. He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades. Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot. The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.

Statically they are better this year, i was 4 when they won the Super Bowl so, i have watched Bears defense for a long time and to me the defense has been being built for this year. we have gotten rid of a lot of great defensive players, big names and added a couple. it is just so fun to watch them this year, it almost seems as though it's rigged like the WWF, when you think this is the play the opponent will score on something big happns, tun-overs, sacks, smash mouth bears defense. If we only had an Offense we would be serious Super Bowl contenders, we may get there but i don't see them beating the colts, maybe. we may soon see. |

Is anyone here old enough to comprehend statistics? these are for the NFL not the NFC north, or teams that start with B! Bears 1st in yards per game, 1st in yards per play, 1st in 3rd down %, 1st in passing td's against with 7!, 1st in points per game at 10.6, 1st in passing yards per play, 2nd in first downs per game, 2nd in passing yards per game, 2nd in interceptions, 2nd in yards per rush, 2nd in rushing TD's allowed with 4!, only given up 4 20+ rushes which is 3rd, 2nd in FD's, 2nd in interceptions 4th in sacks, 7th in rushing yards given up, 7th in rushing yards per game, 5th in take aways, 5th in passing yards per game, Ben Rothlisberger 13/20 173 1 td 0 int wow pretty stellar, especially with Mike Brown and Chris Harris (they're STARTING SAFETIES) out for the game with injuries. 21 points WOW 2nd time they have given up 21 points all year. Not to mention Carolina 9-4 BEAT, Tampa Bay 9-4 BEAT , Minesota 8-5 BEAT. We have Atlanta, Green Bay , and Minnesota left anyone want to bet we don't go atleast 2-1 and end up atleast 11-5? because 12-4 is very possible. Now if you'd like to make another ignorant assesment maybe you should talk about something you actually have an idea about. i'll give you the fact they have no offense. oh yeah we won 8 in a row. |

When playing weak NFC North teams, but the Steelers pushed them around. They're not that good. |

all opinions.... i give evidence, and a lot of it. but that's the kind of post you could expect from most of the posters here, some half-assed opinion or the fact they like pie, if yer gonna argue you may as well argue to win. You show me they are not that good, 1 game with both starting safties out. They are that good, you think the colts have played the seahawks and bengals all year? |

It's very simple. When the front four apply enough pressure to start getting sacks, knockdowns and tackles for a loss, the LBs and DBs are able to go hunting for the hurried and harried pass wobbling in the air. If, like in the Steelers game, there are no sacks and no turnovers, the Bears will lose. This is a three and out built defense. If they don't apply enough pressure up front, the defense degrades over multiple fresh sets of downs. They should get a little help from the Steelers this Sunday and should win the division as they'll win the next two weeks making the Vikes game meaningless...I hope.

The Bears defense is amazing, and its only going to improve. Few players on their defense (if any) are over 30, so these guys haven't even hit their prime yet. Now with Grossman leading the offense and Jones carrying the rock for solid gain, these Bears are going to be tough to beat. |

Let there be OFFENSE! Man, oh man, but if the Bears offense can wake up, this could be a scary team! Nice to have a meaningless Vikes game. Didn't expect them to be so helpful laying down for the Ravens like that, but I'll take it. First round bye and time to get healthy. GO BEARS!!!

We will definitely be ready to play, 2 weeks off, all the little aches and pains gone, healthy D and Grossman leading a better offensive, could be pretty well off for the play-offs. |
