Football fans, u may remember in the last game of the Patriots 2005 regular season, Doug Flutie drop kicked the football 4 an extra point after one of the touchdowns. Well, the fan who just so happened to end up with the ball after it was kicked ( not sure if he caught it ) showed up with an offer to the Pats if they wanted the ball. Not sure when this happened ( just heard it today ) but maybe someone can tell me. Anyways this fan proposed the following if the Patriots wanted the football :

  • $100,000 U.S.
  • 8 season tickets to Patriots games behind the endzone for the next 25 years. The guy said he would pay 4 it, but, the Patriots had to guarantee that they would only sell it to him
  • An Tom Brady jersey ( not sure if the guy wanted the home, away or alternate one ) auotgraphed by all of the Patriots who r on the team next season

This isn't a joke but what the Patriots said was simply, " GET LOST ! "

I hadn't heard, but that is rediculous. If I was part of the Pats organization I would have laughed in his face. If I come across anything about this I will let you know. I'm sure it will be on the news or in one of the papers, so I'll take a look.

Why the Pats would want a ball symbolizing their failure of a season (for them anyway) is beyond me.

It is a piece of history so I hope that idiot tries again to sell the ball to the Pats in a more reasonable deal.
