Is there anything more amusing than listening to males discuss what a woman should/shouldn't be allowed to do with her own uterus??

2004wschamps: Medical personnel have never been held criminally liable for babies they could not save, particularly when saving the life of the mother. Even the most stringent law, the SD law, has that exception. It recognizes that, while trying to save lives, sometimes lives are lost. When that happens, it is not really abortion.

kyyankgrrl: None of us "males" cares a whit what women do with their uteri. We pro-lifers care very much what women do with the innocent babies that they are carrying.

Just a thought - how can we have "MORE WAR!!" and "CUT TAXES" at the same time?

As far as abortion, it should absolutely be allowed in situations that endanger the life of the mother (medically). To be honest, I can't make up my mind on the rest of it. Morally, it's wrong - but it's the parents (mother & father's) decision to make, not the governments. If abortion is made illegal, don't for one minute think that abortion is going to stop. It'll just be done in other manners.

So-called "pro-lifers" tend to be a very conservative lot. They claim to care about babies, but the reality is that conservatives oppose every form of government assistance that helps to clothe, feed, shelter, and educate poor children.

Here's the true rub of the issue. If abortion is made illegal, then what provisions are being made to help the influx of children that will be born? Children born to Mothers ill equipped to care for them or unwilling to care for them?
There's going to be a population explosion. What are the plans for that? I've heard very little.

I'm pretty sure that would mean that if you can't afford, or if you don't WANT a baby, then you shouldn't have to have it.

Even if what you say is true (it isn't), is ripping the baby from the uterus the solution? I don't think so.

BTW, you will never see me write "so-called pro-choicers." Please return the courtesy. Thanks.

That is their fault, if they weren't prepared for the consequences they shouldn't have done the action in the first place. Don't punish the children.

On second though, you are right. The future murderers, rapists, criminals are better off alive.

I hate it when people say that because the next firefighters, doctors, hell anybody die in this. So I guess all babies should die to prevent criminals.

When a baby is born with parents who are not interested in the child/abusive/raising a child as a single parent (Which almost all aborted kids would be) then the child is more likely to grow up into a murderer, rapist, criminal, single parent, ect.

Studies prove this again and again.

And plus, wouldn't republicans want less democrat voters in the nation anyway?

Of course it's their fault. Will assigning the blame solve the problem of an explosion of unwanted children?
No.
Will that blame stop people from having unprotected sex?
No.
Will that assigning of blame take care of these unwanted children?
No...and the participants most likely won't either.
So who will?
What are we doing to prepare for this dramatic societal change? If you think DCFS is overburdened now (and it most certainly is in my state), it will drown in caseload in the first five years after abortion is outlawed. What do we propose to do as a society to address this crisis?

Then why democrats think i should be forced to wear a seat belt in my car? Its my choice if i wanna die in an auto accident. The ACLU challenge abortion rights by saying its a womans right to choose. Its also a right to choose what want to wear too.
