But im burned up why liberals side on women & minorities.

Aren't liberals made up of minorites and women?

I'd say they side with them becuse of the votes women make up half of the population and minorites make up more and more of the population everyday

ok, so maybe steve is taking it to the extreme, but there is a lot of truth in what he is saying if you don't take it word for word.

Funny thing about language...it's generally taken word for word. I'm not a very good writer, but I try to write what I mean and make any jokes/exaggerations obvious. If you don't, you should be taken literally. The point I'm trying to make is these absolute declarative statements that allow for no exception serve no purpose but to inflame and irritate.
Are men underrepresented in custody battles? Do they face a bias?
Perhaps. I don't really know. I do know that absolutes don't exist in this (and many other political debates) and to carry on as if they do diminishes debate.
I probably come across as an ass and if so, I apologize. I just enjoy debate, but inflamatory statements...well, they suck! ;)

Haha, good point.

Anyway, I doubt any of you guys know who Perry Manly is, but he just has made an appearance in my sig. He fought the courts for his visitation rights. He was a good man that could hardly even visit his own children. He fought court, then he fought the judge for treason against the constitution (The judge then dismissed the case that was against himself - how can that be constitutional?)

When he died for his cause, his former wife talked on tv. What she said pissed me off so much. She said that Perry was a bitter man, and did that to spite her. Perry was a peaceful man who would never do anything to hurt anyone. He just wanted his rights.

Stop the presses. We agree!

How many times do the men win on child support cases? We need those law firms to defend the few rights we do have in divorce and child support cases. I want to be a mens rights lawyer when I grow up. Cause worth fighting for.

Exactly what "rights" are men being denied? The right to procreate and abandon their children? They do that every day. But now you want to further punish the CHILD by denying them their father's financial support as well.

And exactly how many children should a man force taxpayers to support, before he is forcibly sterilized?

If you are indeed speaking to me, at no point did I even mention the ACLU, so please do not tell me what did or did not claim.
As for the claim that the ACLU works only for women and minorities...hogwash.
Also, I edited your profanity.  There's far better uses of the English language than that.

Its True! and you know it!
Ok i did slip up a bit on my profanity and i apologize. But im burned up why liberals side on women & minorities.Just like on that insurance crap a woman feels discriminated when she has to pay for more life insurance cause women live longer then men.ITS A BUSINESS!!!! YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS WHEN YOU BUY LIFE INSURANCE!

Is it also fair that women receive FAR LESS in Social Security benefits than men? Or is that "fair punishment" for living longer than men?

First one- you could make an argument either way.
Second one- Yes, no question.

Who made the laws regarding custody and child support? Men who would rather throw a check at a child than a softball.

All I'm saying is that women have a right to chose not to have the child or not. Why don't the men have a say in that?

How about it is set up like this.

-Woman gets pregnant.
-They try to come to a consensus about if they should keep it or not.
-Let's say woman wants it, guy doesn't
-Guy makes choice, than woman can chose if they want to raise it alone(no taxpayer or child support), or have it aborted.

What is wrong with that?

No. Lawyers who want to make money off child support cases. It is a great business for them. Especially these days.

So a woman who feels abortion is morally wrong would be forced to have one because she works in a fast-food restaurant and only makes minimum wage?

Yes.

If she feels abortion is wrong, why is she having premarital sex?

Couldn't the same question be asked of why men are having unprotected sex with women if they don't want any babies? And if they insist on unprotected sex, why aren't they getting vasectomies?

Now I certainly don't condone unprotected sex. I don't know how many men are 'insisting' on unprotected sex. And if they do, then they are stupid and I may even agree with you in this case, deserve to pay child support for their utter stupidity.

But, sometimes the condom breaks. There is also the pill for women. (Which is more effective)

What if a man wants to have a family later in life?

And get this,,Remember when Marcia Clark wore a high mini skirt and high heels in the O.J Trial? Why didnt Judge Ito tell marcia clark her dress is innopropreate to wear in court and hold her in contemp? If i was a lawyer wearing that outfit to court i bet a female judge would held me in contemp and she would throw me in jail with the wild bears. The only reason judge ito allowed marcia clark to dress like that is because he would get ratings from TV networks televising the trial. So how is that right if a female judge throw me in jail with the wild bears dress in womans clothes and judge ito allowing marcia clark dressing like a sex object in the courtroom?

A lot of men insist on unprotected sex because they don't like the way a condom "feels". And in my opinion, if a woman agrees to unprotected sex, she deserves whatever comes her way (babies and/or diseases).

The bottom line is people need to take responsibility for themselves. No more "he said he was using" or "she said she was on" crap. Used correctly, condoms rival the pill in effectiveness....and with a lot less side effects for men (again, you downplay the fact that a woman's health and life may be at risk in using the pill).

And there has been some success in reversing vasectomies.

I assure you, Steveox, if you walked into my courtroom wearing a mini skirt and high heels, I would NOT throw you out or hold you in contempt. I might laugh my ass off, but I'd let you stay.

Funny....if a woman wears a miniskirt and/or high heels, it's HER fault that men have NO CONTROL over their reactions. Because Marcia Clark in high heels and a miniskirt sure as hell would have ZERO effect on me.

Yes, both parties should. But if women are able to opt out of that responsibility with an abortion, I still don't see why a man can't opt out of it either.

If it was only about the man and woman, I couldn't care less. In fact, except in certain extreme cases, I don't believe in alimony being awarded.

But in the case of child support, the bottom line has got to be the welfare of the child. Because without child support, it is not the woman who will suffer, it is the child. And that's not fair.
