He failed to pay his taxes and get 3 years probation? Theres a double standard here. Any other person would lose his home lose his bank account by the IRS.Is the IRS playing favorites because Marion Barry is a democrat and a former public offical? It shows the IRS doesnt give a damn about the average citenzen. All the care about is the politicans and one of theyre own.Just like COPS dont give each other tickets and allow other officers to break the laws.

That was the disposition of the criminal part of the case. Please don't assume that he does not still have to pay the taxes, penalty, and interest. Also, the IRS does not take homes except in the most egregious of cases or when payment plans are not made and followed.

Oh, and I am not one to defend the IRS lightly. The IRS snatched every dime of what would have been my inheritance. I hate them. I just prize accuracy more than I loathe the IRS.
