So dinosaurs weren't millions of years old.

When were dinosaurs ever talked about in the book of Genesis? Or evolution?

There were also tons of religious stories written in Asia, and they had the same amount of credibility as Judaism, so why are they thrown aside?

Face it. Noah's Ark is a story we tell children because it's a tradition to tell them.

The Old Testament is just as true as the New Testament otherwise it wouldn't be in there.

Actually, the vast majority of the civilization in the vicinity of Ararat is of religions that are derivative of Noah's religion (of which Catholicism is just one). These religions include all brands of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Apart from India, many "oriental" nations, and subsaharan Africa, The world is predominantly of these religions.

Exactly. The only logical positions are that the Bible is true or that it isn't. To selectively accept part of it as true and part not, allows the reader to turn the Bible into anything they want it to be, rendering it absolutely meaningless.

The whole point is that God is omnipotent and can do anything he wants.

Maybe this will help. Suppose you were the best programmer ever. You created programs that were intelligent enough to perceive their own existence, the existence of other "intelligent programs," and the existence of the "environment" within which they exist. You also created that "environment" and the "rules" it followed. The "intelligent programs" could only interact with the "environment" according to those "rules" you set up. You, "The Programmer," of course, could change the "rules" or violate your "rules" anytime by adjusting the programming. You could even create a "Special "Intelligent Program" that would be capable of adjusting the programming so as to appear to be performing "miracles" to the other ordinary "intelligent programs." Some of the "intelligent programs" might conclude the existence of "The Programmer" from happenings that seemingly violated the "rules."

"The Programmer" would be God.
The "Special Intelligent Program" would be Jesus.
The "intelligent programs" would be people.
The "rules" would be the laws of nature.
The "environment" would be the universe.
The "miracles" would be, well, miracles!

If you accept the omnipotence of God, His creation of the universe, and His writing of the "rules," you realize that He can bend or break those "rules" anytime it suits His purposes!

Actually, Genesis wasn't the first book historically. It records the creation story, but then the rest of the events take place after the book of Job. The book of Job talks about an animal called Leviathan (sp?), which is believed to be a dinosaur.

I'm curious, can scientists use something like ultrasound technology to see what exactly is under there? Assuming the Turkish government will let them.

I shudder at the thought of a world full of catholic people. That would be a nightmare of biblical porportions. All that nonsense about praying to Mary, rosary beeds and other demonic traditions is something im glad i never clung too.
