What? Our democratic system was based off the greeks who didn't even have a religion. Oh wait, they did. We call them myths now. Religion has nothing to do with the laws in our society. |

IM saying the structure, fear of your religion keeps you in check dude. Look back, like you said, in the days of the greek gods they where afraid to steal, kill etc in fear their gods would pay them back |

Take in what youare saying but i feel that some people do not give credit to human moral's rather than religious beliefs |
“Every player should be accorded the privilege of at least one season with the Chicago Cubs. That's baseball as it should be played - in God's own sunshine. And that's really living.”

Yet, year by year, there are always finding evidence of the Bible and events of the Bible. Noah's ark, Dead Sea Scrolls (Bible fragments), and just last week they found something to do with the Bible... |

So you are supporting religions use of scare tactics? And my reference to the greeks is called irony. We call their religion and what they belived in myths. |

The hardest path to follow is the one of obedience to a higher power....it requires us to forego that which is "easy" and "fast" and to focus on something greater than our earthly selves. People have free will and make their own decisions. Many choose to do things which are evil, wrong, immoral, unjust, and cruel....is that religion's fault? Is that God's fault? No. The problems in the world should not be blamed on God or religion, but on the CHOICES people make. And to those who have mentioned the Palestinian-Israeli conflict: That is not about religion. It is about land. |

100% agree. It goes along with what the Book of James says in the Bible:
It goes along the same lines that people cannot blame God for these conflicts in war of the earth. |

Well, considering archaeologists have been finding fragments of the Bible every so often, I think it is a sure bet that the Bible is existant... |

See, that's the problem with people. You have got to recognize there is someone over you through which your decisions should go through. It's immature to go out there and think that you can take on the world on your own. I'm gonna tell you this: you aren't going to go to far believing that. |

I think all those 'finds' are BS. Did you see the picture to the Noah's ark one? There was no evidence to prove that was Noah's ark at all. |

It was made of the same wood that was said in the Bible. Pretty much the same spot where the ark came to rest.. |

Yeah, well my class is memorizing James 1 (the whole chapter) and those verses fit in pretty perfectly with this discussion.. And.. in the same chapter, it starts off with "Consider it pure joy My brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance..." |
