That is the closest by far for any Blue Jay, but it still doesn't cut it.

I think the rosters should be decided by the player and MLB officials, etc. not by the baseball fans. Basically whoever has the bigger fanbase get their players in.

Rios was not a choice.
He is leading the write in candidates
http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/press_r...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Alex Rios remains the leading vote-getter among players who are not listed on the ballot. The 25-year-old Rios, whose .358 batting average is the highest in all of Major League Baseball, has received 103,084 write-in votes. Rios has 19 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs, 41 RBI, seven stolen bases and a .622 slugging percentage.

Well, the only reason Jason Varitek is there is because he is popular and a captain of a popular team, meanwhile, he is hitting like crap.

I agree with you (no offense to Tek)
I think you can say the same for A-Rod (minus the captain part)

Joe Mauer isn't even in the top 5? Thats some BS, he is one of the best hitters in the AL this year. And where the hell is Youkilis and Gary Matthews? This years all-star sucks ass. The only leaders I agree with are Robinson Cano, since he has been pretty hot lately, and Derek Jeter.

Yeah, that's pretty awful that there's no Joe Mauer. He's by far and away the best catcher this year.

I know he's hitting up by the .370s. Also Dye and Thome are big snubs.

Jason Varitek? As much as I want him to preform like an all-star (fantasy team) he hasn't cut it.

Varitek is hitting like crap. I think the all-stars should be chosen by the MLB Players Association.
