He's in there for defense. He's hitting isn't bad and he's defense is some of the best there is. Perfect backup.

I'd post mine but it's probably be pretty much the same as BK's and after seeing his I really can't disagree with it at all.

Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him.
Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on.
In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun.
He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades.
Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot.
The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.

That's his competition, now Glaus is a good power hitter, but he doesn't exactly hit the lights out averagewise, and Lowell's a steady power hitter aswell. I think it all adds up to Lowell being a better all around player. Sorry, Glaus can't, and never has been able to make contact to save his life, his career Batting Average is .253. Come on.

Hahaha, did I say you said that? No, I said that's what his competition is.

Heh, who do you propose?

I guess David Wright, but that's about it.

well bringing up glaus' stats when i said nothing about him seems very odd. and yes, wright should be there instead of him. same with rolen.

They both have played in the NL for all their careers, and in Boston's line up, Wright would never have the year he's having now. Yeah, forgot about Rolen. Rolen, yes, Wright, probably, Glaus no way.

don't know why you guys would chose Pudge over McCann,

http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/stats/sortab...=33&compare.y=6

McCann leads categories in SLG, OBP, AVG, HR, more walks, less SO, yeah I'll take McCann, he is close to Mauer
