Buster Olney was just on ESPN news and said that the Yankees and the Phillies have reached an agreement on a trade for bobby abreu. Buster said he wasnt positive what prospects the yankees would be sending, but he knows that the yanks would be getting cory lidle and bobby abreu.

Buster said probably tomorrow. Abreu isn't in the Phillies lineup today.

Abreu is not in the lineup. This trade will probably mean the Yankees will win the AL East title again.

Their lineup will be sick. But they still have no pitching. I feel it will even get worse next year. Johnson is losing it, and who knows if Moose will be able to produce these results again.

Hughes might be ready by mid next season, and the Yankees are probably going to go hard after Barry Zito in the offseason.

and if Chein Ming Wang and Mosse can produce like this year, then our rotation would be in pretty good shape

we should trade Randy for a bag of baseballs and a pack of gum, he is useless

lol no it don't. They got smoked last night. They need pitching. Just like the Red Sox. And if the Sox get another starter we might be better.

Abreu is just an OBP guy

he's not hitting home runs he's just getting tons of walks and stealing a few bases

Abreu will have a huge final 2 months. I bet he is salivating over that short RF porch. He will be put in a much better situation. He doesn't have to be the main bat in the Yank's offense. He will make a perfect 5-6 hitter.

Who cares what everybody else thinks? If it makes the team better, that's all that is important.

I am hearing that CJ Henry and Matt Smith at 2 of the prospects. Phillies also got their choice of another prospect off of a list the Yanks made.
