Things need to change in MLB. There has to be a salary cap in baseball soon. Have you seen that lineup the Yanks are sporting?

1 Damon
2 Jeter
3 Giambi
4 A-Rod
5 Abreu
6 Sheffield
7 Matsui
8 Posada
9 Cano

Come on now....what the hell is that? Thats an All Star lineup. Are they going to get Soriano back too? i wouldnt doubt it. I hate the Red Sox but I hope that they win the divison or the Blue Jay catch fire and beat them both. 300 million dollar lineup and they are in 2nd place. SALARY CAP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

1 Damon - Meh
2 Jeter - Amazing player
3 Giambi - Roidy
4 A-Rod - E-Rod.
5 Abreu - Can't hit homers
6 Sheffield - Injured, old, might not return
7 Matsui - Solid player
8 Posada - Old, gone in a year or 2
9 Cano - Average player

In a year or 2, it won't be THAT good.

Yup, them and their 13.5 games back in the divison. They're amazing.

Rollins, Utley, and Howard are the only real stand-out players in the Phillies lineup.

Now they've piled whole bunch of batter in their Lineup. I have no idea what they have in mind. But I gotta say the trade with Phillies was a steal for them. 4 prospects for Abreu and Lidle. Abreu's got lazy mechanic but I'm telling you that guy can hit and run. Eventho he looks too fat, he can steal up to 30 bases hit +30 HRs, +100 RBIs, and he has a reallyu good eye.

Oh put a sock in it. If there's a salary cap, there darn well better be a salary MINIMUM too for cheap teams - and don't give me that "they don't have the money" garbage. GS spends his money on the Yankees - and he's NOT the richest owner in MLB. What do other owners spend their money on? Jets? Furs? Exotic vacations?

If you don't want the best team possible, you shouldn't be an owner.

Wow...someone complaining about the Yankees

Well lets see, 1/3 of that lineup was homegrown, so toss them out, another third is injured, so idk what your trying to prove there, and the other third is A-Rod, Abreu, and Giambi

So really, your complaining about us having those three.

Who cares what everybody else thinks? If it makes the team better, that's all that is important.

Yeah. And because the Yankees come out and use their money right.

if that were true

they'd be in first place with the best record in baseball

they waste the majority of their money

If they were "wasting" money, other teams wouldn't spend so much time being whiny and jealous about the Yankees payroll.
