Tiger sshould be on the winners list. They got a good 6th slot man and neither the White Sox or Twins made any move.

good, too. He can run. He can hit (and hit for power). He can throw. He can

Kip Wells, Roger Clemens, Andruw Jones

Those guys would have all been way to expensive. (For their value...)

Jones was worth lester and hansen. You also most got Clemens. The only thing was that neither Clemens nor the owner wanted to say yes.

Carlos Lee

I like it how everybody is optismtic about Milwaukee's trade of Carlos Lee. We all knew that the Brewers couldn't contend with Lee's contract demands of $60M+, so they got what they could for the left fielder. Kevin Mench is a quality hitter, while Laynce Nix could become a solid player in our outfield, Francisco Cordero is a great closer, and the prospect we acquired is supposed to be a quality player. Sure, we got rid of Nelson Cruz, but I think overall that we got a great deal for Carlos.

Bell and Graffanino are everyday starters for us, and we got both of them for Minor Leaguers. Very good deals for the Brewers, I'm very excited about where this leaves us in our bullpen, starting rotation, and infield. As for the outfield, we need to move Brady Clark and Geoff Jenkins in the offseason. They're past their prime and need to be moved to a different team.

That's all I've got to say, though.

It's not like stupid Gillick is going to do anything with that salary anyway.

The Mariners are winners in my book. They got rid of Carl freakin' Everett and added a 2 headed monster in Broussard and Perez that post about a .900 OPS. We only traded away 2 prospects with no future on the club.

Orioles were one of the biggest losers, how pathetic. All used all of their time and energy in the Tejada talks. While doing this, they completely forgot that they had other players to trade. (ie. Javy Lopez, Rodrigo Lopez, LaTroy Hawkins). This deadline sucked for me. So many great rumors about Tejada, and the Orioles turned down all of the trades.

Oh well, i guess were happy in 4th place. (Hopefully)

They were losers for doing nothing even though the Yankees made a huge addition.

Is it really fair to be a loser for doing nothing?

Or is it really fair to call them winners or losers before the end of the season/pennant race?

You gotta reach .500 first before talking shit about the Dodgers. Oh, is that why their fans hate L.A.?
