I don't know if I would even consider Thome as a come back player of the year because he moved to DH. I think it would be different if he kept playing 1B. |

Thome for AL. Has over 30 homers this season for the reigning Champion Whitesox and is hoping to get them to the playoffs. Other contenders: Nate Robertson (10-7 as of Sunday; 7-16 in 2005) NL: Nomar. He is 4th in the NL in batting average after a shortened 2005 season. He has struck out less times so far this yr than in 2005, where he played 17 games more in 2006. Even though he is on the DL, he hopes to bring a playoff berth to LA |

Lowell for the American League. He was so horrible last year and now he's one of the key pieces of our offense. In the Beckett deal it was that we had to take on Lowell to get Beckett and now it's almost the other way around. I got Nomar for the NL. |

How is Thome a traitor, he didn't want to be trade but the Indians did. |

i think the NL is no question Nomar. Rolen is doin good, but nomar is doin way better, he will win. i agree with KB28, why would schmidt win it? he isnt pitching THAT good and last year was just a bad year for him. as i said before, i have to go with Schilling for AL because of all the problems he has last year with injury and struggling out of the bullpen. he is 14-4 so far. he will probably win 21 or 22 games this year. comeback player...and cy young??? |

Wait, why is Nomar more deserving then Carlos Beltran???? Last year Carlos has slightly better stats only cause he played in more games. This year Nomar has been hurt and Carlos is turning himself into a possible MVP contender. Beltran deserves it way more, where would the Mets be without him. He is a beast. A.L.- Curt Schilling N.L. Carlos Beltran. |

Renteria deserves some consideration, too.. He went from that disaster of a season (which included 30 errors) for Boston to being one of the few bright spots on the Braves roster this year. |
