it probably wasnt the best trade in all of baseball, but for the tigers, acquiring sean casey was huge. he's helped us out in so many ways.
Vote for Josh Hamilton for the 2008 All Star Game.

"I'd have to go with Curtis. He's a six-tool player. Off the field, he's pretty
good, too. He can run. He can hit (and hit for power). He can throw. He can
field. And he's good-looking." -Torii Hunter choosing Granderson over Sizemore

Corey Patterson for a 2B prospect and another low pitching prospect, who I think is out of baseball. From pure value stance, the Orioles got a good person in the 6-7 spot in the lineup, is extremely fast, and one of the better defenders. Patterson is working extremely hard with one of the best hitting coaches in Terry Crowley to improve his discipline at the plate. From where he was at with the Cubs, it will be a long journey, but he's made great strides already.
Cole Hamels invented the Internet. When Al Gore tried to take credit, Hamels K'd him with a curve...but not before hitting a homerun with his daughter.

I liked the Wickmen to Atlanta trade. Wickmen has been lights out and the guy they traded is not going to amount to anymore then a back-up catcher.

Maximiliano is a top catching prospect but we'll likely move him back to third base cos we have a glut of catchers

he's hitting around .340 in A

Though really, we can't judge trades until after everyone's careers are over... what if next year Abreu hits 57 homers with a .390 AVG, and the 4 prospects dissapear, then it's a great trade for the Yankees... but what if Abreu gets injured and never plays again while the Phillies prospects win over 10 MVPs total in their career, then it's a better trade for the Phils..... but this year we can't judge any of them....

yeah, we traded garbage for them. royce clayton, that guy is so old, felipe is like 26 and clayton is like 38. kearns is and upgrade on an injured guillen. and we got wagner and we called up some good kids from the farm to pitch for us.

Thats what I was thinking while I was reading these posts..

That trade was a masterpiece by the Nats GM. I vote for that trade as the best of 06.
