Unless someone directs something at me I will most likely leave this board. I have enjoyed very much my association with all the members.

I am posting a few VERY important things for people to check out and see what the truth from the bible is about these topics instead of the false teachings of Christendom in particular, but certainly not limited to Christendom as all religions adhere to many of these.

Everyones very life, literally, depends on getting the truth from God's word and living their life now accordingly, since false religions, referred to as "Babylon the Great" in the bible, are soon to be destroyed.

If anyone is interested I can be reached at ve7fdr@rac.ca.

I also can mail free of charge to anyone who asks for one, a small book entitled "WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY TEACH", and I would be happy to do so.

Thanks to all.

Unit..Chop and Win.. Thats very nice of you. Maybe I can reconsider when things die down here a bit. Along with this darn cancer radiation every day I had 4 stents put into my bad arteries yesterday so I am lying a bit low at the moment.

One things I do wish, amd find it confusing, is that the folks on here who profess to believe the bible are the ones that have the least to say when I post info from the bible.

Thanks for your notes you guys.

Well, Cliff, I just happened to go on a trip to three different places of worship that is part of a course I'm taking in High School called "World Religions" which you may be able to guess is based on Pope Paul's doctrine "Nosta Aetate." I don't know if there is a hidden meaning behind it but I understand that it may be contradictory to what the church also preaches.

Seeing that your health is not very good at the moment, and the possibility that we may never hear from you again, I just want to echo the words of our Buddhist tour guide as we left:

Thank you for the good wishes. I appreciate that a lot.

By the way, what was that three church course about? Did you just make a tour of the places or did they actually tell you anything?

It's actually a compulsory course we take in Catholic high schools in Ontario worth a full credit just like almost every subject. What happens every semester (half year) is the religion department at our school contacts the Canadian Centre for Diversity and they arrange a trip to three different places of worship because that's all that we'll have time for in one school day. This year they took us to a mosque, a Buddhist temple and a Mandir or a Hindu temple.

They did give a small tour of the places but they were brief as we had about an hour for each place. They did mention some specific things that a typical church in their religion would have. They taught us about the culture of their religion but again it was brief and I did notice that they were very careful as to not get into any controversial discussions about their beliefs. I think that is because they've built up a defense over the years given these presentations that they just assume all schools have kids who would ask them these questions that they would not be comfortable addressing. at the mosque for example, the man doing the presentation was very quick to point out that there are some people in the world who misinterpret the Qur'an and do bad things and the media magnifies it to the point that it becomes a stereotype. He didn't name any names but we knew who he was talking about when he said that there is no passage in the Qur'an that encourages terrorism or a war against non-Muslims.

I think overall, they were done very well. I think that the guides angled the discussions towards pointing out the similarities between our religion and theirs. But I thought that they most annoying part was the person from the Centre of Diversity who came along with us because she kept interrupting the presentations by restating the fact that they are not trying to convert us, or that everything we do is unclean in their religion.

Interesting Hank. And your writeup on it was very well done.

THE POWER OF EVANGELICALS
Jesus built one Church. He also said to follow Him. If you are not in His Church, you aren't following very well.
