I don't think Bloomberg will make any difference. Once again, I have to ask, what does the guy stand for? He used to be a Democrat, then he became mayor as a Republican, now he's an Independent? Does this sound similar to Lyndon LaRouche, or is it just me?

Bloomberg could make a difference, just from the sheer amount of money he is able to pump into a race. Could he win? Unlikely. Could he pull votes from a major party candidate? Definitely.

It doesn't matter if Obama is Christian or Muslim except to the idiots out there who still continue to insist that this country was founded by God-fearing Christians on Christian principles. News flash: most of the founding fathers were Unitarians, Universalists, and secular humanists. If they were Christian, most were very open-minded ones. Thomas Jefferson once said "And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter." Does this sound Christian to you?

Anyways back to the original point I was trying to make, I'm not exactly sure how the Democrats can be blamed for this recession. Unless we go by the republican logic that Reagan was 100% responsible for the economic boom of the 90's, and Clinton is to blame for today's gas prices. The economy goes through cycles, and we're in a pretty shitty one right now. But it's evening out a bit for the prosperity we saw 10 years ago. Granted politics goes through cycles too, and we're stuck in the end of 8 years of Republi-crap to make up for 8 years of Demo-crap.

Third parties won't make a difference this year, because 90% of the sheeple will continue to support their party blindly, no matter who they throw out there. You could see Martha Stewart vs. Howard Stern in the 2008 election, and people would still rigorously campaign for both. It's a joke. The candidate means nothing. It's all about the party. Washington warned about those who "serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party" in his farewell address. Sounds like what we have today, doesn't it?

This country is still divided pretty well. But, I wouldn't say the Republicans have no chance. My brain tells me Hillary has no chance, but something else tells me that she would likely win (possibly the culture of corruption that's permeated mainstream politics since at least the JFK administration). And also as has been stated here, it really doesn't matter. We're screwed either way. All the major candidates are members of either the Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, or the Bilderberg Group. Probably Freemasons too, if the truth is known. Every president and presidential candidate comes from the same small pool. This year is no exception.

It's just fun to sit back and watch the gyrations people go through to bullshit themselves into thinking anyone in this election will make any kind of difference. They won't.

For the 8 millionth time, Obama is NOT a Muslim, he is a Christian. But even if he were a Muslim, would it matter? All you good Constitution-quoting Republicans seem to forget this country was founded on FREEDOM OF RELIGION.

I worry that if Hillary gets the nomination, she can't pull the "middle" vote. People have very extreme feelings about Hillary - they either love love love her, or hate hate hate her. And to win a presidential election, you need to be able to win over the "undecideds" and "independents".

Increasingly, Americans' top concern is no longer the Iraq war, but the economy. It's a question of who the voters will blame for the recession - the Republicans or the Democrats.

As far as an Independent run, I think New York's billionaire Mayor Bloomberg could make the race very interesting.

He's muslim, anyways that still doesn't makes up for his pure lack of experience. He is not ready to run this country , andyou can bet the media will be pulling up the "racist" card for everything. And don't say they won't.

Obama: "I am a good looking, and I look good by not saying anything..."

Are there any women suporting Hilary just because she is a woman? When I see those ads on tv supporting her, it seems all the people cheering and holding signs are women.

I would rather have Hillary than Obama...100%

But my vote goes to McCain at this stage

McCain's probably going to get my vote at this point to. It will probably come down to him or Rudy.

Probably a lot of women support her because she's a woman. Just as most men won't support her because she's a woman.

Where exactly do you get "experience" for running a country? And those who have worked in government for years get accused of being "Washington insiders".....so it seems that's a no-win argument.

And what is this "racist card" that you claim will be pulled? That (gasp!) someone might mention that he is biracial? (gasp! gasp! can't be letting them people get power! God forbid!)
