People who have Mo as the Cy Young winner, Roy Halladay has pitched 9 inning saves 6-7 times this year.

If mo finishes the year with an ERA under 1, I can't fathom a world where he wouldn't get it, unless somoene gets 20 wins or more.

Unless a closer pitches like 80+ innings, and is perfect with like 65-70 saves and has like an ERA of 0.52 with other dominant numbers and there isn't a clearcut Cy Young winner in the league, then I'd give it to the reliever.

not in line to make the playoffs means no MVP for me and JD has the higher OPS anyway

Eric Gagne was like 55-for-55 with disgusting splits and he won the Cy Young. If you're a closer and you're not over like 95% conversions, you don't deserve to be mentioned in Cy Young talks.

At this point it's Lee or Halladay in the AL imo.

Mo's perfect in saves, if Joe stopped using him in NSO he'd have literally unhuman numbers.

If he gets to 40 perfect saves and keeps these splits I'd give it to him, but I doubt that happens.

Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him.
Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on.
In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun.
He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades.
Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot.
The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.

And I'm pretty sure(feel frree to correct me I may happen to be somewhat wrong about this statement that I'm going to make after I stop typing this)......

But there wasn't really any great starters in 2003 to deserve a Cy anyhow.

If Mo gets in the Cy Young talk so will K-Rod, who will probably have at least 60 saves.

4 starters with 17+ wins
2 of which were top 3 in era
and 2 of which were top 5 in K;s.

Prior and Schmidt were the only 2 in all 3 categoies.

Papelbon wasn't even in Cy Young discussions after his 2006 performance. (.92 ERA) There's no way Mo should get one.
