Best Line-Up: Texas. It's hard to pick them over Boston, but they've been better up to this point, and there isn't near the disparity in their home/road splits that I thought there would be. Boston is almost dead even with them though, and as much as I hate gut feelings and homerism, I'd take Boston going forward.

Best Rotation: Chicago. If anyone knows where to find team DIPS ERA rankings, please tell me where. This is just some really quick lazy sorting through pretty basic team pitching numbers, and then picking a team that was a top 3 staff despite being fairly low in defensive efficiency ratings. I know there are like a million things wrong with that. Tampa Bay is probably just as good, but according to really crude number crunching, it looks they've been given a lot more defensive help than the White Sox pitchers.

Best Bullpen: Angels. I wanted to say the Indians, just so I could point out that Cliff Lee has been extremely lucky in terms of bullpen help. I give the Angels the edge though. Santana, Saunders, and Weaver have all been really really lucky to have guys like Arredondo, Shields and K-Rod behind them.

NL

Best Line-Up: Chicago. They should get a little better when Soriano comes back, too. He's an out machine, but his power is a huge upgrade over DeRosa/Reed Johnson or whatever else they throw out in left field. I don't think the OBP hit will affect them as much either, because DeRosa isn't going to keep up .390.

Best Rotation: Chicago. Again, I would freaking love to have access to some park and defense adjusted team ERA's. Wrigley does rank first in all of baseball in park factor though, and Chicago has the third best team ERA in the league. I didn't even take the time to glance at their defensive output, but I'm sure it's not so great that it makes up for pitching in the best hitter's park.

Best Bullpen: Philadelphia. Because it's late, I'm tired, Brad Lidge is good, and Cole Hamels leads the league in bullpen support.

Lol they were good before and Nathan's still there and the motto of that team is good bullpen, defense, and the Punto-ness will win games.

Nah. Their motto is that Livan Hernandez is better than Johan Santana and Fransisco Liriano because he wins games.

Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him.
Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on.
In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun.
He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades.
Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot.
The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.

If Neshek was healthy, the Twins having a top bullpen would be reasonable, but without him, it's extremely vulnerable. Brian Mothafucking Bass has pitched a few key 8th innings. Not good.

and also, SHUT UP GUYZ THERES JUST NO ROOM FOR LIRIANO. IF WE MOVE LIVAN TO THE BULLPEN, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ALL THOSE LEFTOVER INNINGS LIVAN DOESN'T EAT? WE CAN'T JUST LET THEM SPOIL.

The days of Denny Reyes and Jaun Rincon being good are over man. They have trash like Bass and Boof in there now. No offense to Bo.
