Ken Griffey Jr. has never played in a World Series. He might be on the verge of getting his chance.

The Reds have traded Griffey to the White Sox, pending his approval. Griffey will decide Thursday morning whether he will approve the deal, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. It is not known what the Reds would receive in return.

Wow, this is huge. Definitely did not see this coming.

Meh no likey. As much as it would help them, I wanted him to go the Rays. He'd look good in their uni.

Griffey is my favorite player all time, I named my dog after him, I got 7 of his jerseys. I go to Cincinnati to see him play. I can honsetly say this trade, if Griffey allows it, makes me want to puke. I F*ing hate Chicago.

Heh, in all the years I've tried to go to see Griffey play, I never had any luck. Whether it was the Yanks facing Seattle or the Mets facing the Reds, there was always some reason that he wasn't playing. He's also my favorite player of all time & I'm glad to see him finally be able to contend, I think him going to one is overdue!!!

Good for Griffey. Jr. has never even been in the World Series.

You understand that Ken Griffey JR absolutely hates the New York Yankees don't you?

Now, I am really glad Griff got out of Cincey. Now there is really no debate as to what uniform he will be wearing when he goes into the Hall. I hope the Mariners sign him to a 1-2 year deal next year since cleaning up Bavasi's mess is going to take a few years as it is, it would be fun to watch.

Nick Swisher offered to give up No. 30 for Griffey, but Griffey declined the invitation and took No. 17 instead. For Griffey, it's all about fitting in with his new mates.

He a good guy.

And Junkyard Dog, you don't know how much Griffey LOATHES the Yankees? He hates them for how they treated his father.
