A 10 year 247 million dollar contract. Why not, inflation will make that deal look good at the back end of the contract.

Are you offering that as the Twins or Os? Also 24 million a year seems like a lot for Tex, for 10 years that way to much as well.

I wish the Twins would spend that kind of money. Tex is a career .285 hitter with almost 200 HR and he is a switch hitter. All 10 years don't have to be guaranteed, you could have 2 or 3 club option years to a 7 or 8 year contract. If that makes since.

I wish the Rangers had money. I loved him in Texas.

We offered him a huge contract before he was traded and he turned it down.

No way is he getting 10 years. When has Boras ever got what he first asked for? He always asks for the moon with his clients. Thats what a good agent does for his client.

If im the O's, the max id be willing to go is 8 years 160 mil. If its any higher, so be it. Let him sign elsewhere. Whens all said and done, I see him signing a 7-8 year deal worth 17-19 mil a season.

He'll get 20 million with so many people after him. Look the O's 'want' him. Yankees, Mets, Angels need him plus you got wild card teams, theres always one or two. Giants had no problem giving Zito 17, so why not spend money on something you need?

And Tex has always mentioned the idea of playing for the O's back home. That could be a big part in his final decision.

Want my opinion...I hate to say it....but he will be in pinstripes next year. Either that or he will re-sign with the Halos.
