![]() Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him. Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on. In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun. He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades. Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot. The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.

A friend of mine made a giant page in excel measuring the top 50 hitters by OPS diff (OPS - wOBA). It also measures the time period of the players, homeruns, etc. His top 10 players of all-time are: 1. Babe Ruth 2. Ted Williams 3. Lou Gehrig 4. Barry Bonds 5. Ty Cobb 6. Jimmie Foxx 7. Roger Hornsby 8. Mickey Mantle 9. Josh Gibson 10. Albert Pujols *other notables* 15. Willie Mays 18. Hank Aaron 19. Manny Ramirez 20. Alex Rodriguez 34. Ken Griffey Jr Not all of it is OPS diff, but that is a majority of how he ranked it. For example, Ty Cobb (ranked #5) has an OPS diff of 239, but Roger Hornsby (ranked #7) has an OPS diff of 280. Babe Ruth leads everyone with an OPS diff of 411. |

Exactly. In my mind, Pedro Martinez is was the best pitcher in baseball and its not really close for me. What he did in his time was unreal. Babe Ruth for hitting. And Joe Borowski for closer. |

He has both. If he had learned not to throw as hard as he did and throw the baseball with that natual "catapult" movement, he would've pitched a lot longer. The reason his numbers may not have been as good is because in some of his "prime years" he had to pitch half his games at the L.A. Coliseum with the LF foul pole being 251 ft. away. |

And Pedro had to pitch to steroid infested lineups. Koufax had 6 great years that weren't as good as Pedro's 6th best and he didn't pitch as long as Maddux and Walter Johnson. You can't refute it because it's fact. |
