Well we've had many topics on the worst announcers, how about one on the best? My all time favorite is Jim Kaat. He's just a beast, says the right thing and I learned a lot not just about pitching but the game. Current would be Al Lieter, I know Hank doesn't like him, but he's a really good guy and tries to teach. I model him as a Jim Kaat jr. |

Rich Waltz and Tommy Hutton. |
![]() Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him. Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on. In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun. He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades. Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot. The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.

Dude. Seriously. It's not even an opinion, it's a fact. They're the worse announcers in baseball, and MUCH worse than the horrid White Sox announcers. Mets are my favorite, namely Ron Darling, with my all time favorite being Ralph Kiner. Scully of the Dodgers is cool too, he's completely monotone though. |

Whoever those Marlins announcers are, they are the absolfuckingute WORST commentators of all time. Jesus Christ, they're annoying as fuck. I personally like Mike Kay of the YES Network. The Indians commentators are good, too. I really dislike commentators who are overly biased for one team. |

Jim Kaat was my all-time favorite, sad that he had to go ![]() Currently, I love Leiter, Coney, O'Neill, on YES, and I do like Darling and Keith on SNY. I haven't seen to many others, although I will say the White Sox's are pretty annoying voice wise, as the Marlins too. I also despise the Miller/Morgan duo of SNBB on ESPN and all the FOX broadcasters too. |

Michael Kay. He is okay, definitely lets you know his opinion, isn't afraid to criticize the Yankees. He has a bit of an annoying laugh though...... |

Obviously Gary, Keith, Ron & Howie Rose Other than that, Dave Niehaus has always been a favorite of mine. Scully is pretty good too. & Don Orsillo, he's the guy that calls the Red Sox games right?? |

The Yankees YES announcers are okay, at least they're not baised. But, their radio announcers are up there in Marlin territory. |

I'd like them to be a little more biased, since they seem to be rooting for the other team some time. |
