I think about 20 years from now youre gonna see more retractable roof domed stadiums. Its like doing something about the weather so rainouts would be a thing in the past. |

Yeah I always liked that idea to eliminate rain outs. Also for places that get really hot have air condition in there. |

If there were more domed stadiums, they would have to be retractable roof. You never have to experience a rainout at the Metrodome, but you don't get to experience a nice 70 degree night game, nor a crisp September/October game either. |

Retractable roofs are a must. |
![]() Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him. Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on. In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun. He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades. Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot. The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.

I agree, but it would cost so much money for every stadium and just take a while for them to be installed at every field. having one at Camden Yards would take a long while. plus what if you want one at Wrigley? what happens to the seats ontop of the apartments? |

They should at least be some semblance of a stadium, not bunkers like Rogers Center and the Metrodome. |

The Rogers Centre was a $600 million bunker completed in 1989. Some non-bunker stadiums don't even cost half as much. |

Qwest Field is one of the 3 best looking stadiums in the NFL. Hopefully the new Vikings stadium will look as cool as that. |

The Rogers Center has always been great, it would be a good idea to have more teams add the retractable roof. |

You don't really need ret. roofs at every stadium, at least the stadiums most likely to have rainouts which I can't come up with off the top of my head. Maybe in Cleveland so they don't have to worry about the snow at the beggining of the season. |

Cold fall weather, hot summer weather, light rain, all that I think is important to the game. Obstacles outside the realm of the player's control that can effect the game that you have to overcome. |

I'm not a fan on purely domed stadiums because it takes away from so much of the game's atmosphere. But I do think that retractable roofs would be an excellent addition to more MLB stadiums, just to prevent as many rainouts as possible. |
