I don't think Brandon Webb is a definite for the Cy Young.

Who else? I want Linz to win, but he won't. Neither will Peavy.

That's based on the statistics that the voters value the most, and Lincecum still leads.

He doesn't have 20 wins though, which means he won't win it. Cy Young is based on W/L and era, you know that.

Cy Young Points (CYP) = ((5*IP/9)-ER) + (SO/12) + (SV*2.5) + Shutouts + ((W*6)-(L*2)) + VB (see below) Victory Bonus (VB): A 12-point bonus awarded for leading your team to the division champsionship (pro-rated based on the current standings).

That's the formula they use, as you can see wins have a huge part of it.

I realize wins have a big part in it. This is why 21 wins looks better then 17, even if Linz has been the better pitcher overall this year.

All I'm saying is the formula takes into accord how the voters overvalue wins and other stats, and still shows Lincecum as the favorite despite being outwinned.

Your not going to win the Most Valuable Player award with 2 RBI in the 9th inning all year.

Pujols has 3rbi in the 9th inning btw. Is he gonna lose because of that?

GFX Team
Numbers with RISP:
Pujols: .318/8/67
A-Rod: .261/8/65

RISP w/ 2 out:
Pujols: .300/4/20
A-Rod: .232/4/21

Homerun and RBI numbers similar, but batting average is huge

bases loaded:
Pujols: .375 (3/8)/1/12
A-Rod: .286 (4/14)/1/11

AL East Redsox
AL Cental Tigers
AL West Mariners
AL Wild Card Yankees

AL MVP Manny or Arod
AL Cy Young Scott Kazmir
AL Rookie of the Year Daric Barton, but Longoria if he gets called up before mid May.
AL Comeback Player of the Year Ervin Santana

NL West Dogers
NL Central Brewers
NL East Mets
NL Wild Card Cubs/Braves

NL MVP Ryan Howard
NL Cy Young Johan Santana
NL Rookie of the Year Colby Rasmus if he's called up before mid-May. If not, then Upton.
NL Comeback Player of the Year Nick Johnson?

I failed miserably on the AL Standings Predictions.

AL MVP? Kinda did good I guess
AL Cy? He was good tho
AL ROY? Got it
AL Come back? This was like spot on.

NL Standings....I got 2 of them right....and the 3rd will get into the playoffs(Cubs) via Central.

NL MVP = nah
NL Cy = Good, but Lincecum
NL ROY= Fuck Tony Larussa
NL Come back = That guy sucks

Pujols is clutch though......

Define "clutch." Voters aren't going to look for a players RBI total or batting average for the 7th inning on or 8th inning on or 9th inning to decide who to vote for. They're either going to vote for the best overall player or the player most valuable to their team. Everyone has a different opinion on which one of the two it should be for but I can guarantee you they don't care about a word like "clutch."

Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him.
Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on.
In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun.
He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades.
Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot.
The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.
