Of the prospects that have come into the game since 2006 who do you think the next Hall of Famer is going to be?

AL

Longoria

NL

Hanley Ramirez

I would say Hanley for the NL, but Howard is close

dunno for the AL (off the top of my head), maybe Longoria or Joba (if sp) or Verlander

Hanley's been up for about 2 or 3 years right? I'll go with LaPorta and Kershaw.

Hanley was a rookie on our 2006 team along with everyone else.

Him and Longo are my choices as well.

Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him.
Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on.
In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun.
He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades.
Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot.
The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.

Hanley, Evan, and Braun are the only 3 I can possibly think off.

Hanley Ramirez, Ryan Braun, Josh Hamilton, Tim Lincecum, Chad Billingsley, Cole Hamels, James Shields, Jered Weaver all have at least a decent shot at finishing their career being worthy for solid consideration.

Well really, Hamilton was drafted in like what? 1999? 2000? I think it was the same year Beckett was drafted wasn't it?

Yeah, but he's still been known since before that, though, I don't know that I'd label him a "next gen hall of famer" just yet. He's only done this incredible pace for, really, a half a season. I mean, he had almost 100 RBI at the all star break, I thought Morneau had a snowball's chance in hell to catch him, and really, anyone for that matter. Now look. It's a great story and everything, and he'll be a very solid player who puts up high numbers, but I don't know that those are hall of fame levels, unless he consistently does what he did in the first half, and does it more often.

Hamilton won't be a HOFer, he started too late. Shields won't be one either.
