In this situation as a manager, what would you do: You are a manager of a National League team. It's the top of the 9th 2 outs in a 0-0 game. Your pitcher is coming up with the bases loaded. do you pinch hit for him? But heres the tricky part, your pitcher currently has a no hitter going into the 9th. The pitcher is a weak hitter and the likely hood of him getting a het isn't good. What do you do? Pinch hit for the pitcher with a no hitter or do you let him hit to get the no no? |

I'd let him hit. |
![]() Hanley Ramirez doesn't make errors--the ball is just afraid of him. Shadez was the first man to walk on the moon... with sunglasses on. In rookie ball, he drove a ball to deep centerfield, only to be informed he had been traded on his way to first base. So, he sprinted to the wall and robbed himself of a homerun. He can turn a man to stone just by looking at him without his shades. Was pointed at when Babe Ruth supposedly called his shot. The June 24th game between the Marlins and Yankees was not, in fact, called by rain as was previously reported. Hanley had plans. And by plans we mean a date. With a girl. A babe if you will.

I'd leave him in, no guarentee the pinch hitter gets a hit and if he doesn't then you just got rid of a guy who could've gotten a no-hitter, and you gotta put in a less dominant pitcher which could cost you the game. |

I'd get a fan to throw a blunt object at him before he puts his helmet on. Then I wouldn't have to worry about putting my pinch hitter in as a pitcher. |

Nah, you keep him in the game. He's made it this far, with a no-no in hand. If he can't come through, oh well. Let him do his thing in the bottom of the 9th. Then give the ball to the 'pen. |

True, true. If I were the pitcher though, I'd have no clue what to say because that's a real tough decision to make in a difficult situation. |

True, if you manage the AL you don't have to worry about having a strategy. |

This game is not about personal feats...this is a team sport last I checked. The team winning the game is more important than 1 guy making tomorrow's headline. I pinch hit. If you said my pitcher had a perfect game going...then I would probably consider leaving him in. More rare and more impressive than a no hitter. |
