Obviously it was a joke and the NFL knew it, but they are so used to fining him and he's so used to being fined that they just went ahead and did it anyway. If anyone has seen his MTV cribs episode, before the season even started he sent a check for 50 grand to the NFL in advance for the fines that he would compile.

BTW his name is Chad Ochocinco now.

regardless of whether that is his now legal last name, just for the ignorance of not knowing how to say 85 in spanish, I would still always refer to him as Johnson and not Ochocinco.
