This is both a confessional about my thoughts pre merge and a pre-written message to Gabe. I figure if I copy/paste a confessional for him he'll be sure he can trust me 100%. And he should, honestly. I'm not going to screw him over ever. for some reason i love having that one person that I know i'll never go back on. I don't think you can win without having a pair. if he wants to get me out then he'll always have the means to. I'm just banking on him not wanting to turn on me.

Hopefully we'll be merging tonight after the tribal council. I really can't wait. This tribe has been miserable since the split.

Neleh and Gina haven't changed one bit. They're still giving me a bunch of fluff. The only difference is that NOW they need my vote. They're being jerks about it though. I KEEP relentlessly trying to push the vote onto Sean. And they're not having it. Really? You need my vote and now you're bossing me around? They're not thinking about the situation very well. Maybe that speaks to how well my acting job has been.

I came into this tribe with two plans. 1. Swing Patricia and vote for Neleh. 2. Jump in with the girls and vote out General. Now I've given up on both. Patricia isn't willing to vote a girl yet (can't blame her). And General has been my closest ally while I've been here. It's hard to stick with Neleh and Gina when all they talk about is talking about having the majority with the girls at merge. You've gotta give me more than that, girls. Jeez.

If we go to Tribal Council I have to get Sean out. He's too sold into sticking with Rob and General. Sean has no loyalty to me whatsoever. And when he won't communicate, what's the point?

In my opinion this game is still about guys vs girls with me and Gabe in the middle. There's two options for the long game: play in the middle or pick a side and stick with it.

If the plan is play the middle then taking out General isn't a terrible idea. Hunter and Gabe might appreciate me doing their dirty work for them. But it would definitely alienate Sean and Rob. So maybe if I vote for General tonight I side with the girls for the next two rounds and then vote Rob and Sean. After that I can flip with Hunter, Gabe, and hopefully Sarah. Doesn't sound so bad now that I'm thinking about it.

If we're planning on taking one side then I've got a dilemma. We would definitely have to win this challenge tonight. I don't trust the girls at ALL. They don't want to keep me around for the long game. So it would have to be with the guys. The plus side of that is that General has promised final 3 with me and Rob. Obviously, I don't want to do that. Third place is no fun. He did mention that he offered Hunter the same thing but now wanted to replace him with me. So maybe Hunter would like to know that? Maybe Gabe would like to hear it also? Then the 3 of us can turn on General and Rob at 5. I'd be totally fine with that.

A few thoughts on players:

Patricia: I've put a lot of stock into her. I think that's been a mistake. I almost guarantee she's been forwarding my messages to the other girls. She's an incredibly frustrating player to talk to.

Gina: I've got some hope for Gina. The only problem is that I don't think I can work with her until her girl friends have all been voted out. Once they are? I'd be happy to be best friends with her.

Neleh: Get her out of here. Jeez. All she cares about are her girls. It's so frustrating. She's so friendly and chatty but her messages say NOTHING. She's showed me that she has no care for my interests and she gets mad when I don't follow her orders. Sorry, Neleh.

Sean: Fuck Sean

General: I touched on this earlier. It wouldn't be for the worst to get him out but honestly he's my closest ally right now. Really though, voting him out could be a strong play.

Rob: I love Rob. I have lots of respect for him. He's probably the best player here. I can't let him get near the end. I would love to work with him. But I know the girls will target him immediately. If he goes far, I can't imagine letting him get past 5.

Sarah and Vecepia: I have no idea, sadly.

Hunter: Hunter is awesome. I can't wait to reconnect with him. Maybe he'll be willing to jump back and forth with Gabe and I. Or if I go with the guys I wouldn't mind being in the final 3 with Hunter. If I go with the girls then Hunter will be important so I can flip back later

Gabe: All of these plans are hinging on my relationship with Gabe. I think he'll be able to see that our interests are aligned. When you have 2 votes you can potentially control the post merge. I have to talk to him immediately when the tribes merge. I'm curious about if he has one specific plan he wants to go with. Hopefully he'll have lots of information also. At the end of the day I want to go to the end with Gabe. If that's happening then everyone else has to go, so the order doesn't matter. In my opinion, you can't win this game unless you have one person you can absolutely trust. For me, that's Gabe. I'm open for anything right now and I hope he is too.

The game plan for is to sit back and watch the big dogs come up with grand schemes and plans. Then decide which one to jump on board with and when the time comes to disrupt it.

In every game there's always one vote that really stings. I think this is gonna be the one that sticks out to me for Marquesas.

And now we see there's no merge. So I get to stay on Maraamu AKA hell. Yipee skip.

Just a quick note. I just now realized that it's a possibility that Gabe gets voted out tonight.

Maybe because of me. My game will be devastated if that happens.

So, what's on your mind, "Pappy?" We're at F9 now and STILL haven't merged.

How does the Gabe vote affect your current position as well as any potential
future merge position........ should we ever get there?

oh jeez. things aren't looking fantastic for me right now. my plan was 100% gabe. now i don't have a plan. not that there's anything wrong with that. somebody will see value in me come merge time. Right now neleh, gina, patricia and I are a block of 4 (supposedly). maybe i could weasel my way past 4th place with that group but who knows. i doubt it.

let's talk about rob real quick. when i saw that gabe was gone i immediately assumed rob was responsible. he probably was. he practically announces it in the public section. i was mad. really mad. it seems like that was just a move for revenge against me. but then i started to think. i've lost my number one, rob's lost his number one. why be mad at him? i need to work with him. neleh gave me a huge opening also. she said we should take out his minions first. so it'll be hilarious when she thinks it's "time" to take out rob and then i pull the ol switcheroo on her. classic paschal.

whatever happens, i want to jump back and forth between alliances. that's my thing. this game format has set that up perfectly for me.

rob will be the first person i talk to at the merge. i know what kind of player he is and i know he'll always be open for an offer. i also need to find out neleh's plan for the next few rounds so i can figure out when to turn the tables on her.

losing gabe sucked. especially right after losing general. but adaptability is the name of the game. i'll figure it out. and i'm gonna get deep into this game. being on vacation right now is perfect for me. you know how i get when the merge hits. i play much too hard. this is forcing me to cool down, i don't have time to make a move yet. but once i get back home, these players aren't gonna know what hit them.

I always enjoy your Confessionals, my friend. I especially enjoy reading anybody's take on things when they initially talk about being mad at a player,

but not reacting to it specifically and still considering every venue.

Thank you for the compliment :)

The thing is, I really was infuriated with rob. part of me still is. he knew exactly what he was doing. my game was set up perfectly and now I'm gonna have to try a lot harder to make my way to the end. the great thing is, all the girls saw me fuming mad. they know i'm angry with rob and hunter. but when you look at the big picture, I need them. at least one of them. preferably rob. he's got a big target on his head and i'm all about keeping meat shields around.
