Time to move on from the trainwreck and Decay of Xandar. Growth? That could work. I spent Phase I binging on AC/DC. Moving onwards and upwards is going to require a little Daft Punk. Suitably fitting for Iron Man, and check out the ascensions near the end.

Amazing <3

Okay so. I wrote a lot of this yesterday, and now it's outdated since things actually went as kind of hoped for down last night. I hate writing a confessional in hindsight though, it's too easy to slip into the pattern of saying what did happen, instead of what you were aiming for. So to be be blunt, had I wrote this this time yesterday, my plan would have been to let Barton go, because in fairness he's a bit shit. Play along with the pretense of keeping Xandar together just enough to settle the other five, while in actuality use the extra day to the time required to get Remy/Banner/Skull together with Johnny and I, and only then make the moves of last night, tonight.

But of course that's not even close to what happened. Let's rewind a little to the tribe pick-em, and even Phase I. Xandar was pretty much a trainwreck by the end of it all. It took me an embarrassingly long time to realise how that Otto vote was supposed to go down, with Cap & Thor flipping back to Parker in order to boot Elektra and save Otto. Which is why the fuck?? That made no sense as a move after burning MJ the round before. If they wanted to go with Parker we should have done it then, not a round later after blindsiding him and Otto. I might not have liked it, but they knew I would have done it. Once the deed was done with MJ, I no longer would have done it, because at that point it made no fucking sense to do any more. And to be honest, it pisses me the fuck off even thinking about it. Dumbasses. I could have been well in with both of them, plus Parker & Otto and assumedly MJ at this point of the game. Instead this whole tribe is an impending shambles.

So fuck the pair of them. If I have my way and arc reactors aside, Cap can go test his skills in the Arena later. Thor may have gone along with him on it but no doubt Cap was the instigator because he'd think it gets him back in with Parker. If you read this later Cap, at what cost you twat? He threw away all of Johnny, Elektra and me for this.

Ugh, I'm getting ahead of myself though. Back to the pick-em. I really screwed the pooch with my reading comprehension on that one  I could swear that was supposed to be at six and not three, and not being here live definitely changed at least my pick of Schmidt. Elektra not picking me does make me a little sore. I missed out on the dull comforts of a tribe with Pepper, Shaw, Elektra & Grimm :cry so suddenly I feel lie I need a new #1 here. As it happens, Banner is fucking amazing.

Poor Johnny. He's like the eternal bridesmaid here. He cracks me up though. I lost it last night with the "Look out guys, Peter Parker is the activity police over here." I cackled at my screen. And kudos to him too. He knows how to work a vote. Like I said, there was every chance I'd concede to booting Barton last night. Knowing full well Johnny was probably the majority vote. It would have left me sitting here today saying guys.. "c'mon? I wanted to work back with you all!" But once Johnny heard it was him for sure he got on that case and hustled the fuck out of everyone who needed it. He was clever too to leave me drop the item while he didn't. Just the right amount, and with the added bonus that the assumption now is Johnny played that - more on that in a few. I'm getting a lot of credit for organizing that 'move' last night, when really it's undeserved. Credit where it's due, that was 90% Johnny Storm. I've gotten close with Banner, yes. And Barton was always going to side with the guys not voting him (whoops lol). But it was whatever Johnny did with Remy that sealed the deal.

***

So what next? Well tonight it's going to be all about who can play their items the quickest. I really, really would love to see the back of Cap. But items, immunities, and connections are going to dictate this boot. It wasn't even supposed to be Thor last night. It would have been Xavier had he been unnimmune. The thought process being that he'd be likely to go join up with Summers, Mystique and Vanko given the chance. Plus Thor's not exactly lit the challenges up until he needed. Idiota even more if he'd been throwing during the group phase. Now with Summers gone, Xavier is less likely to go somewhere else. Doesn't mean he can't still get the boot here. Then taking out Parker and attempting to flush the idol is always an option. I get the feeling Thor might get revolving doored back to the Arena, simply because people are going to want to not burn a second bridge if they can help it.

Now if items went the other way who are they likely to want gone? Me probably  especially if I'm seen as the one behind that last move. I doubt they'd waste it on Barton unless they're trying to second-guess item played. Not Remy or banner since they're seen as a bit of a pair. A pair they need to try not completely alienate for future usage. Johnny though, now there's a better target than me for them. Less likely to win in the Arena, and (so long as it's not filtered back) they have to assume that it was Johnny's vote blocker played last night. Meaning he can draw the target today just by being his asshole self ( <3 ) and then he can play the deflector thingie the minute the voting window opens. And tonight we do need to be doing things at the very start of the window. Meaning we need to have a plan, and a back-up plan, and a back-up-back-up plan all set in stone long before the scramble period. All the while keeping that shit under wraps. Which in turn makes it pretty hard to get Schmidt onto my side which is something else I'd like to do right now. Fun.

**

Another thing here to think about. And maybe the one thing NuXandar are doing correctly, is making ourselves an attractive destination for mutineers should the boot from the other tribes win. Thor returning straight here and his whole proclamation to Summers & Hobgoblin that they would be safe over here is kind of perfect. I hosted that all-arena Star Trek game, and I facepalmed a little every time someone declared how great it was they were achieving unanimous boots, then two lines later wondering why their tribe kept getting smaller and smaller. So turmoil is good. Split votes are good. Much item use is good. Public drama is good. It's *the* best approach to Arena format, I am certain of it. I like my set-up right now. Do not confuse that as feeling safe in any way, shape or form.

Lastly but not leastly, am I doing a good Iron Man? I don't think so. Not yet. In some people's eyes I'm too villainous I guess. Fuck them though lol, Parker is the only one who has a right to complain about it. I will continue being a little bit of a cocky prick for a few rounds more. There is at least a little bit of heroicness about getting together the five that we have gotten together. Maybe that's something worth fighting for. I'm sure you guys are rooting for Spidey, I probably would be too lol, but I like who I'm currently aligned with a whole ton more than Capsicle or the pretentious as fuck Xavier. I do like Parker, it's very hard not to. And even though it doesn't really fit my plans, there was something epic about Thor last night. He is much better when he's actually around the board some. Those doors are long closed though. I'll just have to fanboy in private.

But it's a good base to build on. The flawed human Tony Stark. Plus this is still a 30 player game. There's no rush. More important to focus on actual Survival right now than character building.

Stark out.

And people would have you believe making small tribe diagrams using miniature versions of all the avatars for confessional posts that never made it to being full posts is a bad idea. Sheesh.

I guess compared to these assholes, maybe I am the hero type.

Lets be clear here. They're not assholes for keeping Remy in. I'm guessing right now this whole thing was a ruse only we were the butt of it, and Remy voted alongside them? God who even knows. So they're assholes for using that sort of tactic. I'm allowed take the moral highground on this one, asshole-ish as it paints myself, since we actually avoided attempting to take the cheap shot, as tempting as it could have been.

Mystique will win this, come over here and buddy up to Xavier again. Yay  I can still survive the week I think. It might require a trip to the Arena along the way now though. And no way Johnny & Banner both survive it as well. :? Fuck. That's the real shame here. Someone leaves every night. I am tempted to make myself the target in all this, since I might stand a better chance of returning. It's what a hero would do. A stupid hero, but a hero. On the other hand, a tesseract might be our only shot at flipping anything here, and I need to win the individual immunities for that last piece.

Thank you by the way for not pushing these events out to ten and even eleven. I'll keep this ego in check but still assume you meant me when you said you wouldn't go too late because it would hurt 'one person of many'. And it would lol. That ten minutes away, during the voting period last night was me moving the laptop up to bed. Whee I promptly fell asleep

Who do you think will be voted into the Arena next?

Do you truly believe there is a "moral high ground" in ORGs? I am actually curious about this, I'm not being facetious.

Who would you like do see leave from this tribe?

Well every move can be a move you made for strategical advantage. Some moves earn you respect, some moves lose you respect. The game is all about surviving of course, by whatever means necessary, but if you get all the way to the end, and have zero respect or even bitterness from the people gone before. Any moves made along the way mean dick all. And ORG players have two weird lines when it comes to inactives and quitters.

So yeah, it's a shitty move to make, but it's also not very smart from a trying to win point of view. Remy is eternally tainted now, I'd be quite happy to boot him. I'd never vote for him to win. It's the Russel Hantz effect. Entertaining but lolno you twat. The rest are a little guilty by association but it's hard to completely blame them for seizing the advantage as presented to them. I doubt it's something they concocted. Rather something that was presented so they rolled with it.

So yeah, I'd boot Remy in double time here  I don't think who I'd like to see leave will have much bearing though. Schmidt might still be the key to flipping shit up again. As soon as Mystique joins he drops down the tribal totem one slot, and he has to be aware that puts him at least sixth. If there is room for Remy now in that circle you can be damn sure I will psyche him into thinking therefore that there's going to be a spot for Bruce soon enough too.

So just *maybe* there's a little window where I win a Tesseract, and Johnny or Hulk play a null, an Schmidt votes with us, and even Remy and we spring a little upset here. More likely than not, if I'm immune Johnny leaves, if I'm not then I do instead.

*Maybe* window #2, is that we boot Remy. Guilt trip a few people into how shitty a move it was, but put the weight on how he was the shitty one and not them, and how redeemable it would be for them to boot him and still leave themself in the majority? That could work. Banner would need to be down though.

My only real things to do today will be one, win challenges, and two, if I manage that but only in the Arena, decide whether to return and try get all three of Johnny/Banner/myself through the phase, or just cut and run and go start pre-building with Pepper/Elektra/Shaw/Grimm. Because I'll be fucked if I'm doing too much PMing.

I did not say that 11PM thing for you, lul That is for most of the cast who I promised early rounds too. Sorry to break your heart, my dear. It's a good thing it's rechargeable and can be easily replaced.

And yeah, last night was not really the funnest thing to watch play out, not gonna lie about that.

Stay strong and get through to the next phase or do whatever you can to survive here. You're much more rootable as a humble underdog than a crazo schemer, that's for sure. :bz

It is nice of you to say that and save the hearts of the rest of the cast. You're too kind :ha

I think the only real plan we can have here is for Johnny to drop his Scepter, Hulk to do his reactor, and me to win immunity / arena.

Now that's not to say I won't spend the day getting in people's ears about what happens when the three of us are immune, but that^ is the best plan right now. A lot of things need to work out right, and then there's a ton of pressure on me to win something. I find a lot of my actual executable ideas lately are the ones that end with me just saying 'fuck it'.

I should probably say that write now I am writing from the Baxter building. I was not back for the challenge. Spot the Diff too, I can very good at those. Don't feel too great about my time in this first 8-way duel either.

Fuck it. I only really came in here to post this.
