It takes a muscle to fall in love
|
Pearblossom's eyes are a little watery, and her lip trembly, but she holds back her tears. Her wing is stretched out awkwardly. "It's ok." She sniffs. "You must be more careful with that wing Pearblossom. Some day you'll sprain it! You're wonderfully lucky to be born with wings, so you should look after them." Auntie Jubileena chimes in. "C-can you tuck it back in please sis?" Pearblossom says, pouting - her wing muscles a little sore after the fall. Edited by abrony_mouse, 22 Feb 2014, 03:21 PM.

"Th-thanks sis." The little pegsasus gives Peach a quick hug. Auntie Jubileena makes an 'aww' face down at the two. "Come now you two. You can have a quick play before we set off to the flower shop." She informs them, and busies herself in the kitchen. |

Peachblossom trots out into the garden, a slight breeze moving her mane, the sun warming her face and her hooves delighting at the tough of the soft springy grass. The garden is sizeable, with small lawn to one side and a variety of fruit-growing patches as well as a small pond, from which she can hear the croaking of frogs. There is a small wooden picket fence around the garden, and she can see a number of similar garden cottages near her. In the garden closest to her an elderly balding white colt is sitting in the sun reading a newspaper and chewing some licorice. Aunt Jubileena has few flowers in her garden, however, and they are quite plain. Peachblossom will observe that one patch in the flowerbed has been kept bare. |

Auntie Jubileena glances Peach's way from the kitchen and smiles mysteriously. "I'll explain what that is for later little filly." She says, enigmatically. |

Pearblssom is galloping around the small dirt tracks in the fruit patches. The small pegasus doubles back as soon as she realises her sister comes over. "Betcha can't catch me!" The foal resumes the game of tag from before. |

Pearblossom weaves around the vegetable patches galloping about, trying to evade her sis. The foal makes a wrong turn however, having run into the corner with a thorny gooseberry patch on one side and the fence on the other! |

The foal, seeing no way to run, flaps her (relatively for her size) strong wings and manages to flutter over her sister and back into the lawn! She squeals and giggles as her hooves touch down on the turf again and she continues to gallop. The chase is on! Edited by abrony_mouse, 2 Mar 2014, 04:12 PM.

Peachblossom's greater size gives her the edge in terms of speed and her sister's pink tail is soon flashing before her as the little foal weaves in and out of the vegetable patches. After a short while they have both done a circuit around the garden and Pearblossom is in the same position trapped by the gooseberry bush and the fence. The foal readies her wings to leap again. |

Pearblossom tries to flutter high enough to get out of reach of her sister, but her assent is not quick enough and Peach's leap lets her connect a hoof with the airborne foal's stomach (not enough to knock her off course and the foal continues over Peach's head). "Nuuuuu!" Pearblossom shrieks, giggling, realizing that she was now 'it'. |
